    What 4x4

Thanks for the advice, their was a 7 seater 3.1 TD on a S plate for £1895 that I thought was reasonable but it had already sold!
  4. What peoples opinions on the Discovery 300TDi automatic, there's on advertised at £1600.00 japenese imported in 2004, its on a R 1997 plate, body work its says is excellent just not sure about automatics as I've never had one before!
  5. Cheers mate, if i were a bit closer i would of called round for a look!
  6. Hi mate, yes is would be a general dog wagon, got a transit for work which I run about in, the permision i've got is some grass paddocks which are reasonably flat, but it looks like I'm getting a fair few acre on a farm in the Weardale which is predominatley hill sheep country. What do you mean by a 'scooby' Scooby is a Subaru mate. And tbh it sounds like you would be better off with something with better ground clearance anyway. Not to mention they attract attention from the police whether you are a law abiding lurcherman or not! Ah... I see, a Subura being more like a car. Well
  7. What miles does the Discovery have on?

  12. I kind of like the look of the commercial Isuzi Troopers, but like I said I'm not mechanically minded so i'm looking for advice from someone with exprience, I've heard that the Landrover Discoveries are prone to rust alot but like I said Im not sure.
  13. Hi Lads & Lasses, I posted this in the 4x4 section but didnt get many replies: I'm looking to buy a 4 wheel drive for the coming season, I'm looking for advice & opinions on whats best, I'm not mechanically minded and I've never owned a 4x4 before, I've got budget of £2000.00 to spend and would appreciate any advice, I would be using it for lamping, carrying my lurcher & guns in it as well.

    What 4x4

My mate had a LWB K reg Pajero and he seemed happy with it, I do like the look of the Isuzu trooper though, I'm wanting something that doesnt look ancient but I realise that I'm only spending 2k so have to be realistic as well, seen a R reg Toyota Landcruiser Commercial for sale at £1995.00, ice motor but went straight away I've heard there a bit thrsty though!
  15. I've got a budget up to £2000.00. Thanks in advance!

  18. Double belts can be bought online for £15 plus delivery, you can buy the batteries online as well for about £12 each, you can buy the cigar plug type connectors online for about £2 each, dead easy to connect up with some wire. I use one and swear by it, got a lanyard round my lamp and hook it over my head, batteries round waist on belt then youve got the ideal set up you can have two hands free without having to put your lamp down, my last one lasted for 10+ years apart from renewing batteries now and again the only reason I replaced it was cause the bagg was becoming tatty, bought a new one
  19. Same for me sniffer went out last night in Northumberland on a new bit of land it was galeforce winds so couldnt resist it, a few were sitting out too close to the hedge so I waited for a good run I could hardly see for the rain being driven horizontally, I spotted 2 rabbits down wind about 60yards away, dog spotted them so I slipped her, she ran full pelt at the sitting rabbit it jumped in the air and ran straight back to the hedge in the opposite direction..lol,she caught up with it turned it twice and nailed it, she was a bit slow with her retrieve think she couldnt actually believe she had
