  1. Why I ask cause it's a genuine question, I totally understand whats banned etc, but was wanting to know if there's any similar bull x about today. For fucks sake let's bin this thread and send me a PM if you genuinely are interested, there's some bell ends on this site like, nee wonder people frown at the mention of THL now.
  2. First lamp I bought was called a nightblaster, it done the job, got lightforce 170 now. Had it for 3 mths, still don't think you could go wrong with a clulite, thinking about changing back, seem better build quality and that 2nd light is dead handy when your crossing gates, hedges or hiding in a ditch lol!
  3. Have the bull crosses that are about today got a bit american in them? why I ask is because going back 12 years ago I bought my 1st lurcher she was a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 apbt, she turned out to be a really nice dog and I had many a happy days hunting with her. I'm considering getting another in the future when my current dog gets another 2-3 year on her, she was a brindle colour and 24inch and a nice bit muscle on her but not too muscle bound, are these type still about?

  7. Sorry to hear of your loss mate it puts a right downer on things, but chin up mate at least he's not suffering anymore or even worse some numpties could of got hold of him, a suppose you can take some solace in knowing that you found him and you were with him at the end, i'm sure things will turn out alright mate, good luck!
  8. Same here mate, out last week and early today in Stanhope, out of 7 rabbits 3 had mixi and found a few lying about the fields, dont know if its just me but I feel really sorry fr the poor buggers...horrible disease.
  9. Hi, I've sent you a PM, I also live in Gateshead! Cheers Don.
  10. Thats the style mate, keep at it he'll do you proud!
  11. Whin have think about what the lad has said, his dog HAS been catching rabbits at a year, as he said he had a good season last year, a dog just doesn't stop catching rabbits. He's been out three times this season where he's lucky to see 5 rabbits a night, so if my maths is right he's seen 15 rabbits but probably less and out of them probably half of them would be field edgers not worth a run, so he may only be able to run the dog on 7- 8 rabbits, so the dog has caught 2 rabbits which is 25% catch rate on what I would assume at 2 years old is an unfit rookie lurcher with only one season under h
  12. Hi mate, dont get disappointed, the more you lamp him the more he'll learn, also dont forget that he's probably not that fit yet neither as its only the start of the season, I've got a 20mth old and she's a bit the same, its frustrating but the more you do the sooner they'll learn. My mate had the litter sister to my last dog, she was slow to catch, I bet she missed well over rabbits at first and sometimes she just didnt look interested, my mate was really frustrated with her and was ready to get rid, I convinced him to keep her and she turned out to be as good as any dog he had in the pa
  13. Been out, just got back and put the kettle on, had cracking couple of hours - first night on new permission with me young dog i'm bringing on, the place was wick with bunnies, full moon shining with a bit of cloud but just made sure i kept right side of the wind. This is my first real night out with her although she has caught a couple round the doors. The end result was 5 bunnies one with mixy, the wind was blowing that hard that when she was running down the beam and getting near the rabbits they where jumping 2- 3 feet in the air with fright, should of seen her reaction, dont know who go
  14. Sounds good, from what i gather they are a bit more thirsty than a Landrover, do you find this?
  15. Just a quick update, after much thought I've bought myself a green Discovery 300 TDi P reg, its done 133k miles and already has a lift kit & general grabber AT tyres, it doesnt have any MOT but i took a lad up who has a garage next to where I live and he says its fairly sound and wont need much for the MOT, got it for the princley sum of £1000, so Ive still got £1000 left to get it up to spec, I'll post pics as soon as I get them, what do you think!
  16. Hi Andy, I'd love to have that for under £2k, looks really good condition, them tyres make it look mega chunky, just been to see a 52 plate exactly the same as yours but blue, he was looking for £2,800 but was a bit rough, never mind the search continues!
  17. Looks a real smart motor that mate, if you dont mind me asking what sort of money do you look for for a disco like the one pictured! PM me if prererred.
  18. Hi mate, yes I seen the one on Top Gear, it was unreal what it put up with. The reason i'm looking at a Disco is it seems you get can get them for decent money and they seem to have a few extras, ie electric windows, cruise control etc.
  19. Cheers mate but I'm in Gateshead near to Newcastle, think your about 6hrs away from me!
  20. Ha... I like your thinking, the defenders seem big money for what the are, my mates got one and it seems like you sit too close to the window, doesnt seem like theirs any shoulder/elbow room, the discovery seems to have a bit more comort!
