    get em a girl friend bless him .try a shock collor a mate add a lurcher what was like it alday long in the end he used to put him in his truck and didnt care if he got nicked thats how bad he was gettin .well one day he add a nuf he gave him to me bro who add a shock collar for the father of this pup .6 month he put up with it howlin and it all stop in 6mins with the shock collar now if the pup starts all he does is put the collar on and pup stops with out it being used hope this helps

    for me once they have done theyre job marking its best to teather them cos when you got a pack out it only takes one of em to creep fwd and theyre all at it and making more noise around the holes than needed the lurchers are there to pic up any runners,they sit then patiently(most of the time) till we have finished ferreting and when its nets up time they are let loose ....praised ALOT for a good mark and alowed a good sniff of the bag. jay see what ya sayin ive not used nets for last ten years just lettin the dogs av there fun. nice pack you work with i must say ive got two cockers a t

    reason i asked and can you determ how good a dog is if hes only to ground for say half hour ...an hour maybe two... reason being what might be classed as a good dog is only in the ground a sort time with the modern teck what would this good dog do say six.. eight..ten ..hours or would he be out after say two and half hours avin a nuf callin it a day im just intrested how these good bred dogs are tested for there stayin abaitly and how they coupe with the long hours below ground they used to say drop ya dog in inthe mornin do a morning works then go and dig the dog out knownin he be doi

    just got back from walkin the dogs the rain been hammerin down. ole bitch goes to ground were theres 40 odd holes shit loads of rabbits use it the ole girl drops in and 5 mins bayin out comes the first followed by the second i add the two cockers tryed up as i was listenin to me ole girl. one is only 5 month old i took her straight to the hole were the foxes bolted straight in tail going mad to the end of the lead up come me bitch nose down and off shes goes on sent with the cockers doing the same so as you see i let my dogs enjoy ther work what ever breed or quarry they work lifes to sort

    thats why when i got a young terrier at three to four months i take em out weres theres plently of rabbits and let em workem plus out ferretin as well with me ole bitch . but never incourage them and they do that right up to when they enter to fox and thats the only time they get praised but i will say theres been a couple of pups ive add which would screem to get to ground on a rabbit and when down they bay like workin a fox those didnt say ive done that way for 30 years but the thing is my dogs are out every day and no the score not locked in pens going mad
