  1. Howas seem good value at the moment and take all the Remmy add-ons
  2. If you want to booby-trap the crapper, take the cardboard tube from the loo roll, seal up one end and fill carefully with crap, then place this carefully facing forward between the seat and the rim of the loo. Next person who comes in for a dump sits on the seat and deposits the turd neatly into their underpants!!
  3. Depends on what you are shooting at. Personally I would rather spend the money on a second hand cabinet and leave all my scopes firmly attached and have the peace of mind that my zero will remain intact, it probably works out cheaper too!
  4. As a starting point with ballistic tips I would load the longest dummy/inert round that will fit in the magazine and then check that this length does not engage the rifling when the bolt is closed on a round in the chamber.
  5. The .308 will do everything that you have asked of it. Privi Partisan ammunition is available in 150gr soft points for about £40 per hundred and shoots around 1.25" groups out of my rifle. If this stuff shoots well in your rifle then you need never open a set of reloading tables in your life. The best value new rifles at the moment are made by Howa in Japan. The useful thing about these is that they have the same basic dimensions as the Remington 700, so any mounts, bases, triggers etc are readily available. They also come fitted with Hogue overmoulded stocks which have a "grippy" rubber
  6. A quick note to say Hi Most of my time is spent chasing Roe deer and I recently acquired a Teckel that is trained to follow a blood trail. What I don't understand is that since I have had the dog, all the deer I have shot have dropped instantly leaving no trail at all. We recently put him to stud and are just waiting for proof that it has taken. He is certainly keen and has been trying to hump anything with four legs, most impressive attempts so far have been a Spinone and a full grown male Rottweiller. Strangely the Rottweiller didn't seem to mind?
