got the melons planted out in the GH the weekend and had a bit of a tidy after the start ,just the general maintenance now ,got the courgettes ,squash and pumpkins planted out in the beds last friday,gave everything a dose of general fertiliser and the kitchen garden seems to be doing fine with all this recent weather long may it continue !

well thats my last hatch this season ! best so far by a long way ! , 13 set and 10 hatched, a mix of greys and lb red x partridge ,just have to wait and see how they do with this heat now ! not sure if its helped but because of the weather recently ive been misting inside the coup and the breast of the hen about 6 times a day to up the humidity for the last 3 days of the hatches on this last 2 broodies,

could be the actual pin connector that the bulb plugs into if its the 5.3/transformer jobs !they get overheated and the 2 wires start to short at the back a RIGHT PITA CAREFUL if you mess yourself, and if not sure get a sparks in as rab said bin them and get leds in. worse thing invented both of them nowt but hassel -
cracking round ,i cant help with the rifle but if you reload and want a set of forster bench rest dies for a god price i can recommend someone nothing to do with sucking eggs but they can burn barrels out with a bit of use , be vigilant

gettin all arty farty with the pics cm ??? fek soon we will not be good enough for you , you should take some of mine to put up ! cant even see the screen on the back of the camera most times ,gettin old is a pain building a new pen tomorrow (well thats the royal we ,got a chippy mate coming over ) need to be moving some birds around soon to give them some more space ,surprising how they have shot up this last couple of weeks ,1 broody left sitting now (that wheaten) then thats me for this year

another hatch ! not good again though , 12 eggs set ,1 died getting out of shell(a day and a half early) and another 6 out and about today ,percentages aint brilliant at all for me this year ,this last lot were wheaten and partridge x light red and 1 grey x grey , the one that died was also greyxgrey , one more sitting and due in a fortnight then thats me done for this year One thing i have noticed this year ALL of the hatches have been a bit early bar this one !

hiya guys , because ive been suffering with arthritis more and more recently and some of the posts on here ive decided to alter my fishing a bit from game fishing back to course and a bit of ferox trolling for a treat .Any way been trawling you tube to get a bit of an idea whats what now and its just dawned on me that people are STILL fishing whats the crack with the closed seasons now ? ive just googled it and come up with this 2. seems to be spread around the country then by the sounds ! anyone any ideas whats causing it ? weather perhaps ,though last year was not brill here ,mind in all fairness i was later rearing last year !

problem for me eley is my pics are cr*p ! "well one of the problems any way " im not doing brilliantly to be honest this year with hatch rates , i do everything under broodies and just about to set my 6th tomorrow ,last year couldnt go wrong ,this year doing exactly the same we have set a total of 38 eggs now and from them only got 13 birds so far ! got a broody on a dozen now for the last 2 weeks and a wheaten going broody now "collecting some eggs up for her once she has settled " The first 13 eggs 9 were fertile 6 hatched and 3 killed by the broody ,second 13 eggs 8 were fertile 6

with jok on that , ive used a 243,25-06 and a 308 on on both in england , now im down to 223 and 308 for quarry shooting in scotland, mostly roe now and go to gun is the 308 with a 125 gn ,i hand load and have no issues with damage ,bullets from 110 to over 200 plenty to choose from , oh while you applying might as well chuck a rimfire on -
sort of tried it ! we built our beds on a site that we took 18" of concrete off in winter 13 / spring14 and scraped what soil we could off the paths onto the beds we did not fill the beds as per the books with a lasagne system but used the compost we made that year from the garden/kitchen along with some composted wood waste then the autumn 14 we filled all the beds with horse manure and increased the bed depth from 4" up to 8" with more boards and continued adding the compost as available until now ! we have not dug the beds at all just top up with compost as available which is standard mix

Defo that way inclined mate, but it's a big investment, not just a 'think I will give that a try this year' it's been on my mind to get back into for maybe the last ten years or so, but am now actually in a position to do it. probably didnt come across just how i meant "TRY" you obviously know what your doing with the job and have a good idea what your aiming for ,as others has said there is some money to be made but is this enough for you given your expectation on numbers you are thinking of rearing and investment required ? what i meant was if you think you can get the market given th -
