agree to a point enough breeds out there , i was needing a biddable dog with more balls than a lab at the time i got the cross and very pleased with what i ended up with though i do have a gwp as well now "which is all balls "

nice one ,mind what c green said though,if they are not dead they are capable of opening a dog up no bother at all if its not experienced in handling them .

ive got a 50/50 labxgwp and a pure gwp the difference is massive ! as i think tiercel and mik pointed out you HAVE TO BE COMFORTABLE with how the pure work , they aint for everyone their training is nothing like anything else and can be very frustrating BUT once they are right there is no going back. My only regret is not finding them 35 years back ,like tiercel mentioned if you say what they are capable of alot would call you liars ,but think long and hard before getting a pure as they are capable of breaking you if you dont understand THEM and YOUR limitations as a trainer !,no place

how does the mag length and the standard 308 length compare ? if/do you reload you may be able to get a load that still works ok at mag length -

ive got a 223 with a conversion and got to say its not the best either ! i think it could be the same short action ,have you still got your bottom metal a floor plate ? not a solution but im thinking of converting mine back its that bad , does your mag clip in and hold ok? mine was a pig to fettle correctly -

very interesting sandymere to see if it does return ,reading up it does sound possible that it may ! and no stress ,they are highly stung/ a bit hyper when young but nothing out the norm .mind now he has really chilled but again thats probably due to his age, as others i know have quietened down about 21/2-3 yo as well -

well its an old thread but thought i would update it took a while but the dogs spot on again now thanks to the advice off here ,this is what i did : 1 x melatonin tab daily 1 x kelp tab daily 1 x omega 3 fish oil daily 750mg acetyl-l-cartinine dailey (ex jd's advice) i also cut his protein intake down by giving more veg (usually grated carrot) SO THANKS FOR THE INPUT GUYS IT WORKED -
picked the spuds "juliette "last friday blanched and frozen ,caulies today along with the calibresse, wifes just started blanching for the freezer all good so far !,broad beans just about ready to pick and peas not far off ,got the swede and kale ready to follow the juliette spuds in a few days and trying to keep on top of the courgettes , onions and shallots just going over and garlic looking best yet and kelsae onions steaming on ! TERRY try courgette fritters or curry if you fancy the idea, it works for us ! shred the courgettes and salt and leave them a while, rinse and squeeze out th

been chaotic here the last couple of weeks with building work but just moved some of mine around to give them a bit more space ,got to decide whats being kept now ,as i said previously not been a good year here hatch wise but at least im lucky enough to have some choices ! got some decent young birchens and greys, see what else shortly once they moult out/feather up !

same here eley ! hatches not good this season "though the last one was not to bad" but the birds that have hatched are doing ok now and hopefully have something decent to start next season off with ,and pleased with what ive got now ! ill try and get a few pics now they are a bit bigger ,all under broodies here ,one thing i have noticed though but maybe of no significance was the last 2 hatches i misted the broody with water a fair bit over the last few days of incubation and the hatches were better

planted the leeks out yesterday ,thats the beds filled up for now ! thinking of trying the spuds to see how they are doing" they look almost ready",toms aint doing brill in the GH this year for some reason ! today sown some kale and swede and some more lettuce for later on ,garden is generally looking decent this year other than the toms .
