  2. as walshie said ,i use a 223 barrel life is longer but the .22-250 is a tadg flatter but not enough to make a huge difference , just get to know your round
  3. not sure of the post but was it a wirehair or a short hair ?just curious as i have a gwp and he works anything ! given a bit more speed and he would be quit a machine ! i keen to see the replies on this one
  4. yes you do get what you pay for , they are Chinese,beware the chain brakes are not up to much and if your inexperienced thats the most important bit !!!! if funds are tight try and find a s/h husky of sthil

  7. nice tidy job there ! was it ok using a bandsaw getting the cuts level ? ive thought about doing just the same to one of mine , good idea floating the barrel as well ,have you thought about pillar bedding ? it will make a noticeable difference ! is that one of those adjusters of the bay ?

  11. all my onions and leeks and shallots have been crap this year as well !,in fact its been a bad years all round in the veg patch virtually everything has bolted or just not done been a case of making the most of a bad job ,just had the last of the leeks up into bacon and leek soup (well what we could salvage of them ,should have been for over winter) swedes very small pumpkins and squash poor beans poor and on it goes !!!!! ,best was the calibrese and caulli

  13. as jok OR flash fry after above flour coating then into the slow cooker with bacon , onion and lentles and cover with stock for a few hours "dont stir it will melt away lol" serve with mashed spuds and runners beans

  16. any saw mills local? i get an 8x4 trailer heaped right up about 45 cubic foot rough tipped for £25 collected ,softwood but once dry it burns fine
  17. good post tc ,because of this post its re kindled my interest in netting ,went out with the dogs this morning and did exactly this ! managed 2 rabbits off 3 sets ,"must try harder lol" the dogs aint the most sedate with bunnies to say the least !they are more accustomed to tracking deer and wildfowling " 2 year old gwp(still a pup) aka da wooluff and a 6 year old lab x gwp aka da hairy crocodile " but its the most fun ive had in ages ,cant handle long lengths of net now at night but this is DOOABLE thank you
