thats the trouble dd85 i keep doing it lol this has got to be the 7 or 8th time ive thought about advertising it over the last 2 years but the first ive manged to go through with it ! i dont really NEED it only done about 35m per week over the last couple of years "wasted " but !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fecking thing under the skin again lol

it is a sad day! ,they do get under your skin though ,ive had one for a few years now but it just dont get enough use ,i thought about selling it a few time over the last few years but keep changing my mind at the last minute as its one of the few good uns " its like an old pair of slippers lol" just built up to advertise it yet again and put it up for sale on fleebay in the week but now thinking should i change my mind again !!!!!!!!! fecking things under the skin yet again

very nice tc a credit ! was going to take a few pics of some of mine this morning but surprise surprise its raining again so had a go indoors " up to my usual cr*p standard of pics " left to right every day user and abuser hazel knob stick for dog walking "occasional rabbits just in reach" triggers broom !!!!! wifes stick wildfowling stick "extra length for testing the depth of gutters" stalking stick "just above eye height for steadying the rifle " if we get a bit of sun ill take some better pics just making a wading staff for flyfishing !

i think thats why hazel is so popular as a stick tc theres so much variation you can match it to anything for a head !

dont think its a case of what looks best cushty more a case of tradition !but the main thing is to make something YOU LIKE then you will use it ! sometimes if you dont try things you will never know

i got a stash of shanks probably about 5 years back now but all hazel ,glad i did cause there a bit thinner on the ground now weve moved ,could do with a couple of blackthorn now ,im drawn to knob sticks and i think the color of blackthorn works well with a knob stick or root handled stick

ill try and get some of mine gathered together in morning and try some pics ,ones a bit like triggers broom "had it as a major user for the last 37 years " think its on its 3rd shank now and not a clue to ferrules lol ,i fancy doing a buffalo horn crook soon never done horn before ! that link tiercel put up of the bufallo horn has stared it off again ! im with you jok on the bark of hazel

not yanks but stags wise had 3 of these last year almost identical ,never know someone else on here may put up a better pic of his brother plus a few oegb's ,may even see some pics of them ,my pics really dont do birds justice ! or anything else for that matter ,got some younsters out of him at the moment x'd with a black and a partridge ,got to see what they turn out like ,barber was on holiday

I LIKE THE IDEA OF USING BLACK AND WHITE POLY ive started the seeds in modules and growing them on in the house cool at the moment !do you think i should pot on into 3" bags once their a reasonable size and get them into an unheated GH or frame asap or keep with slight heat in house potted on ? were quite exposed here so and last frosts 2nd week of may

i id it last year "im new to growing veg though" trying to get better results than the year before which was great for us ,and they all bolted ,that could be down to general conditions though as ive heard others had the same problems all over ! ,last season was crap for us virtually everything bolted or did not do ,hopefully this one will be better ,anyway getting back to starting sets early in modules "im not this year" but i do knows others do

that would be good tiercel if you dont mind ! im not growing them to show though just want large onions ,way back i had an uncle who grew for the show bench and every year i looked forward to visits and the all the various veg we used to get off him ,and remember the kelsae onions as having a sweet sweet mild taste that was very good raw (i do cheese and onion and salads during the summer with a vengeance !) i remember once taking some into work "i used to work as a gardener for the local authority" and one old guy used to spend time during our breaks talking gardening with us ,he was in hi
