  8. here you go LD this is my breeding area there are 3 pens covered on the back row about 7x7' and 2 with net roofs on the side about 9x9', the corner pens birds can be let to run in either the covered pen or the netted pen ,the plan is to use thispen to grow youngsters on a bit and use the other pens either for brooding /breeding or growing on depending ! i converted a tool store last year into 4 banty stag pens that i can remove the dividers from and i think im going to use them as broody boxes this year they are each 66"x 36" , BUT HEY THINGS COULD CHANGE LOL hopefully the pics w

  10. the breeding pens i built a couple of years back i roofed some and what a difference its made this year to the ground conditions ,its always about space though"never enough" i would have like to have made them bigger but space dictated ! im a believer in buy once cry once and hopefully they will last ! im thinking of roofing some of the ones left and building another roofed pen this year ,it would be nice to be able to move them about but without the ground it aint happening , i will dig some pics off the backup drive tomorrow ld and put them up

  15. we thought of getting a couple of gold tops last year cm but ended up with enough game going broody as you know ,no expert but would think that game birds being reared by a game bird would keep instincts ? any comments on this ? trying not to derail a yank thread but failing here :hmm:we are using the heat lamp on a timer to extend the light a bit giving them 14hrs as suggested , we will change the bulb to a normal light bulb though in a couple of days
