ive got a labxgwp and a gwp both used for stalking and wildfowling plus owt else i get to do , both predominantly deer dogs used for tracking and spotting and on the rare occurrences when they needed to be firm with their quarry they performed as required, both were trained for stalking before being introduced to other quarry , the gwp is quite keen on foxes as well , ,

another idea sort of similar that i used to do was grow carniverous plants in containers on the patio "though in fairnes they dont just encourage wildlife THEY EAT IT "

keep plenty of surface cover with plants and oxygenating plants to use up nitrogen

yes they can be ! ,i find that the peppers generally set relatively early(were a fair bit behind up here in the scottish borders) but they take a long while to mature and ripen ,thats why im trying the staging idea, though in fairness im usually late getting them started"intending to start them earlier next season as ive rigged up some grow lights and a decent sized heated propagator" i usually find set starts when the plants are about a foot or so tall

moving on a bit again today! potted on the squash, pumpkins, courgettes, aubergines and cucamelons today and moved most out into the GH ,potted a couple of courgettes into potato grow bags to get an early crop"we leave these in the GH a few weeks after planting the ones outside into the beds "normally manage to get some about 3 weeks sooner !,hopefully after this moons away ill be able to get the peppers out into the GH propagator before setting them out on to the staging "a trial this season to hopefully get them a bit more light to ripen better" as we normally plant into ring culture type pot

you could link a few together with overflow pipe and use the pump through a few

charlie used to bread white cloud mountain minnows in his ,they kept the mozzies down, lillies are not keen on water movement so he never had pumps in his , in hard frost he used to take the fish out and keep them in a tank in the garage just over a few winter months crack on give it a go and put some pics up
-
way back i used to know a guy who grew water lillies, he had dozens of 1/2 barrels about the place with lillies in and there were always loads of activity around them from dragonflies and frogs etc ,

yup and me is it a wooluf "gwp"? -
spot on that ! you need to just keep slowly gnawing away at their numbers ,i used to be fortunate that i could just keep moving a few fields away through out the day ,its surprising how quickly the numbers build up in the bag

fed my last 2 on mainly barf and the best looking and healthiest dogs ive ever had enough to clear in a short time, regular small amount is better than less larger if you can do it , mine were on 4 feeds a day for ages , dont want them fat but definatley want them with enough to grow healthy bodys ,if theres 2 much it will come out the other end , at least their bodys can take what it needs to develope just keep an eye on it
