  3. boys and toys nowt wrong with that .suppose they do get used to the noise one small patch of mine is opposite a farm and i can drive right up to most foxes in the landy on anti stall but not the quad for some reason .
  4. up here the shopping is " messages" and when i was a kid in the black country sweets were "suck" mind when i was out with my mates as a kid when one of us had sweets we used to say "gizz a suck" but the naievity of it recon id get arrested nowadays walking about saying the same
  5. well done ! handy the quad ,wouldnt want to shift that lot by hand ,thats some total how big a heard is it from ? ,how do you find they react to the quad ? ive started using a quad myself now as im screwd up with arthritis and dodgy hips etc ! but i use it to get to an area them have a wait and a hobble about for a bit then move on and do the same !"it aint what im used to but at least im out!"

  7. A jitty is a new one on me. Where does that come from? East Midlands. According to wikipedia it's a Derbyshire/Leicestershire term. I was raised around Linc's/Nott's/Leic's. Colloquialisms have always fascinated me. I think it started when you're a kid and met other kids on holiday from all over the place. They'd ask if you wanted to play a game which you'd never heard of but when they explained the rules it was a game you had a different name for (and even some more rules but the principle of the game remained).   13. is that a decent rule of thumb i ferret/10 holes ? most of the area/burries i have access to im guessing would be about 15-20 holes so put in a couple at a time ! just thinking about nets and other bits as well a fair few hedge bottom holes and just a few more open areas so what size nets are recommended ? back to boxes is it best o put 1 ferret per partition (im a total newbie )and how about carrying nets in the box or a bag

  16. with accommodation if i had a 2 story area linked with a ramp say 5x2x2 possibly 5x3x2 high,each story (shed area im thinking about is 5' wide and open fronted) do you think that would be ok for 3 ?just thinking out loud and trying to plan for the future "if i had a hob i could separate them when needed " . so they dont come into season with the weather or time of year/season then ? do they need mating every time they come into season ?.ill ask more later rather than expect a tomb of a reply were still away from getting them but i want to be prepared first then there are hopefully no panics
