Trouble With The 22 Hornet.
devon flighter replied to myersbg's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
ive sent a pm , a k hornet is just a modified chamber ,thinking outloud i was just saying/thinking if it needed reaming it would be another option, if you loaded to give you a slight increase in velocity if needed -

can you get it borescoped to check if it is rust ? next if it is you may be able to get a reamer put through the chamber to tidy it up again ,thats if you have a smith with one , next option if you fancied a slight upgrade get it re chambered into a k hornet plenty of options ,where abouts are you in cumbria -

I should have trained to good standard then introduced him to work. been there lol not to late to have a go at putting him right Can't stop mine mind if there is something about but up to then we ok them luggs tell it all, terry "who me dad ? NAHHHH "

blue/black need to be spotless clean and I MEAN spotless clean no grease at all "latex glove job before bluing " polished very well down to fine steel wool ,you will probably get a more even finish with a bluing bath rather than a bottle of cold blue (if youve not done one before they can come out a bit patchy with a bottle of blue )i used to have a plastic bath similar to a wallpaper soaking trough as long as it long enough to hold the bits and plastic it will be fine preparation is EVERYTHING with bluing the more you put in the better your success will be , take your time and you willl be
