  11. What you've been told is correct, although I wouldn't worry about the humidity too much. If you insist on raising the humidity level place a piece of damp cloth in the bottom or something similar. Its not about the amount of water you put in but the surface area the water covers.
  12. I'd say your right Darbo......shops have 3 weeks to sell the eggs and its assumed they'd be eaten within 1 week so thats 4 weeks in total.
  13. Gnipper have a look on here...... http://www.bluelaced.co.uk/forum/phpBB3/index.php There are a few members keep Marsh Daisies, chickencharlie and bantambob to name two. There is even a specialist forum for them.
  14. Well they wouldn't attack or bother them. As long as room isn't an issue then they should be fine.
  15. Its not so much the size really......its the time you have to fatten them. A sussex cockerel would fatten up nicely in around 5-6 months, but if you were thinking something a bit quicker then your better off with a cross. Ideally you'd be better off getting some hatching eggs of chicks from one of the true (commercial)table breeds.
  16. They wouldn't need their wings clipping if they are pure silkies, the fence would be plenty high enough at 4ft and even a small garden would be ample room for a trio.
  17. Yes pyles and black reds are often mated together.........but your better with a yellow legged (pyle bred) black red to use otherwise you'll breed pyles with green legs which are useless.
  18. The cock will be out of pyles seeing as he has yellow legs......will be a useful bird to someone.
  19. The top 3 all look like females.....certainly 2 of them are.
  20. I believe there are some outstanding Malays in South Africa.
  21. Your right, not really a 'game' bird but they are the biggest of the malayoids. Their profile should show 3 curves-the neck, a roach back and the tail. They should have hexagonal scales on their legs. They should have a large overhanging eyebrow to give an immpression of ferocity. Another requirement is a half walnut comb.
  22. Glad you sold it, looking at the new signature......ya thief. How is our old mate doing ? Pm me.
  23. Well done mate......keep us updated
  24. An aseel's eye should be directly above his middle toe nail, if he's stood right.
