if your raising the floor by approx 400mm , a 6x2 joist will only raise you 150 mm plus 18mm flooring = 168mm oh yes i need 16x2 s then dont i didnt think of that cheers MATE!!

Any builders im converting the garage the floor needs raising about 400mm im gonna do this with 6x2 joists the thing is do i need insulation in between the joists to pass building regs ?
