  1. I learned a lesson about speed before I passed my test, I had an old JU250 as a work van, I had just dropped a mate off and was driving back up the street was doing about 15mph if that when I spotted 2 kids about four and six standing on the left hand side of the road holding hands and looking left and right, as I approached them I slowed down further, when I was about 6ft from them they both just walked in to the road in font of me. I jumped on the brakes and stopped before I hit them. But I was shaking so much I could not drive on, the guy who was sitting with me had to take over. It still g

  4. Jok for processing tuber size is not really that important what is more important is shape. At the moment I am using a chipping / crisping potato called Lady Amarilla. Has wonderful chipping properties, but this batch has been subject to secondary growth therefore has been downgraded and around £3 a bag cheaper because of it. It means more work cleaning, therefore a drop in yield, but the resulting product is still first class. Processing companies have to have a minimum yield from each tonne of potatoes, if for any reason they cannot reach that yield the crop is either downgraded or rejec
  5. I am not a religious person, and at my age you think you have seen and heard it all. Even if I live to be a 100 I will never understand how some people, not necessarily religious people, can inflict pain and death on others. It seems some people are born amoral, they believe what ever they do, it is their right no matter who it hurts or what the consequences are. Some seem to hide behind a front, be it religion or a cult or anything they can think of. But the truth is, for the want of a better word, they are pure evil. TC

  11. It should be like that, I have just put more Leeks and Parsley in in the picture, I will now knock it off and leave it go cold. Then warm it up again to eat this evening with fresh baked crusty bread rolls and if you like it a lump of cheddar. Tomorrow it will be at it's best. TC
  12. Cawl on. MMMMM you English don't know what your missing. TC
  13. It's nothing new though, they have been using the ploy in super 15 for over a year. It has been blown out of proportion simply because England did not know how to deal with it. It is almost the same as standing off a maul so that it cannot continue. TC
  14. While I would agree with that sentiment, on yesterdays showing Wales are heading for fifth and can count themselves lucky they beat Italy. Until there is a change in the coaching set up that is about where we deserve to be. The most improved team on today's showing must be Italy they gave England a scare for 50 minutes. Once they started tiring though the class of England shone through. TC
  15. Italy playing well in the first half. Shows what good coaching can do. England will no doubt rack up a good score in the second half but for now Italy are on top. England 5 Italy 10 TC
  16. Well played Scotland, totally out played us. Congrats to Ireland as well they worked hard for that victory. TC

You can do what you like I don't give a shit, but when you post it on here you might as well print your name and address. 22. When it comes to cryptic clues once you get into the mind of the compiler they are not that hard, as you know their codes. It's when they put in a new compiler that they start to get difficult, as you have to learn a new code from the start. Take Blackbriars cryptic clue. Prisoners go out in sequence (11) You could get the same answer from this clue. "Prisoners go about improving" Each compiler has their own words for anagrams and initials etc TC
