    to be honest i felt like getting rid but after a chat with one of my mates i decided to perservere with the not so good one. time and patience and a good marking dog is needed so as i know for sur there are rabbits in every warren i enter them into until they are upto scratch The worst thing you can do with a young ferret is put it in an empty warren. There is nothing there to stimulate it's natural hunting instinct so it's starts playing around. Most of the time it's not the ferret that needs training it's the ferreter. TC

    We get far wetter weather in the West of the country than they do in the East because of our proximity to the North Atlantic and the gulf stream. A lot of the weather on the Eastern side of the country is influenced by the continent and to be honest I do not have a clue how the weather works there. This side of the country I can look at a chart of the North Atlantic for the week ahead and have a fair idea of what the week will bring as a synopsis rather than a detailed forecast.     We have had Northerlies and Easterlies this autumn because of a prominent high pressure over Europe it is all to do with the NAO North Atlantic Oscillation that controls the two main features of the North Atlantic weather The Icelandic low and the Azores high The pressure difference between those two weather features largely governs the jet streams movement. All the pointers so far this year point to a colder dryer winter. We shall see? TC

    Many many years ago, I was friends with a very attractive woman, a mates ex-wife She ran a shop and I worked part time for her. One evening while sorting out some stock a bottle of wine appeared and disappeared pretty sharpish. Then it happened just that look that people share when you feel in the moment. The things that ran through my mind at that moment, wife, kids, was she still on the rebound? Decided there and then the wife and kids were not worth loosing for a quick fumble.
