We had the tin bath hanging outside the back door. Sunday evening was bath night, out of the bath, towel around you and stand in front of the fire watching Sunday night at the London Palladium. Bit of Teisen lap and off to bed. TC

The wife was taking down the net curtains to wash them, and we got to talking what our mothers did with the nets. Mine used to wash them in the twin tub and add a bag of blue for the last rinse and they would come out whiter than new. That got me thinking, can you still buy bags of blue? It's not 'man made' it originated naturally in South America. The mammals there over centuries gained an immunity to it, it was accidentally released from a lab in France this side of the Atlantic, I seem to recall.. TC

We cancelled the TV and as we were out of contract with them, I went on a comparison site found the cheapest quote for our area for broadband and phone and Sky matched it. About a month ago the speed dropped considerably I got on the phone to them, they could not sort it over the phone so sent a chap out 2 days later. he sorted it in about 10 minutes. TC

Yep no problem. Well it does momentarily freeze, only on certain channels and only in the mornings for some odd reason. Other than that it has paid for it's self already. TC If it's freezing that will be your line not the box, perhaps your server updates in the mornings. If you press ok twice on any non free view channel you'll see some numbers that will be your ECM, the lower the number the better. 0.100 or lower is pretty stable any higher and the picture can become glitchy. I will try that later, to be honest the picture quality is as good as we got with sky, plus I can get every chan

Another way to get ducks on flighting without feeding ponds is to watch the weather, any heavy rain will create splashes (small ponds) where they are only flooded during heavy rains. These splashes can be very good for ducks in the first two days (evenings) they are created, for the simple reason they provide plenty of food for ducks in the form of drowned worms and slugs. You have to be quick though as they will strip the splashes of all the goodies in a couple of hours. TC

Bollocks!!!! Nothing beats a dirty, greasy spoon full English And half a bottle of Gaviscon to wash it down with, just to save the heartburn. TC

If I may offer a few suggestions. If you are building hides remember the way they will enter the pond will vary with the wind direction and strength. The best wind for shooting ducks is an Easterly, for the simple reason that you are looking in to the last of the light from the West and the ducks will nearly always come in into the wind. I have fed a few spalshes in the past and found that the food, which was mainly boiled potato peelings with rolled barley, deposited in the margins in shallow water did the best. Your right there about the variation in the quality of the 210/12 z twist nylon Phil, I bought my first long nets from K.P.& S nets (remember them) back in 1982 I think it was? I used those nets for about 20 years and when the time came to replace them the quality of the nylon was a lot different. I had not thought about the quality of the nylon until presented with the 'new nylon' that was a lot stiffer and even a little larger in diameter. About 8 years ago I bought some sheet netting of a chandler who was closing down and had some old 4z sheet netting for sale. That stuff was like chalk

Pros, if used in the right place, can be deadly. Cons, If not used properly are useless. Most will say 210/18 with a z twist but the people who know will tell you 210/12 is the best catcher of the lot. TC

Mal they are not friendlies, there are ranking points on offer for every game. Remember the debacle at the last word cup where Australia, England and Wales were drawn in the same group, well unless Wales up their rating the same will happen again, because the rankings for the draw are taken two years previous to the world cup and if Wales are not in the top 8 they will be classed as a second tier team again. bloody good group that I see they even doing breakfasts in one. Never thought of that one Bacon should always be crispy that's the law Gonna show this to the old spunker in the canteen at work, his bacon is either raw or charcoaled, it's enough to give you the arsehole yea nothing worse when you fancy a nice bacon roll. You get presented with half cooked bacon in a ropey white bap with no butter or marge Thats just how I like my bacon, with a runny egg on top. The crispy stuff is just too salty and only a quarter of the size it should be, once bacon is pink It's cooked. TC

Looks bloody lovely! How much it cost and what weight is it?Just slightly under 1.5kg (bone in) was approx £20! Not sure if it's good or bad! I also had just over 700g or dry aged rump for £13 approx. (Was £33.50 for both lots)I've got a butcher I know down Bristol fruit market does me 5KG chicken breast for £20 and loads of cheap steak and pork steaks but the quality of the steak ain't the same to the good stuff I've had in some places. Guess it depends if you want cheap protein or whether you want to pay extra and go for quality. A lot of people these days want the biggest most massive meal

Today showed the class of some players, and it was not good. One winger butchered two tries because of his inability to catch a fecking ball. The tactics that were used today you can find in any rugby club game for the under twelve's every Sunday morning. Fecking disgusting!! We have some good players, but they are being stifled by stupid out dated game plans that everyone knew three years ago. It is the same as the 70's where if your face fitted you were in, no matter your form. Anscomb done feck all for 70 minutes the inform OH in Wales was brought on for a cameo in the last 10. FFS Sam
