    To be honest, I think paedophilia has gone on since the year dot. Some circles of society take it as the norm, most do not. I think some can handle it, others can not.     The last dog I had PTS cost £36 as I was taking him home, that was approx 4 years ago. Year before last the daughters horse had colic she kept her moving and phoned for the vet, as it happened the vet was half a mile up the road at another stables and was with us within 15 minutes as it was on her way home to the practice. She gave the horse an injection, and told her to keep it moving, the price of the medication was what you would expect, but she still got charged a £60 call out fee.     Gnash, I think we are around the same age give or take a few years. I was brought up in a small mining village in Wales, even though I could not recognise it at the time, thinking back even when I was under 10 it was going on then so that is 50 odd years ago. Thinking back it sounds daft but it just seemed to be accepted, we were warned by our parents of people to keep away from, no reason given just told to stay away from them. TC

    One thing that has not been said, is that it is never the childs fault, never ever. They were abused, manipulated by adults for their own gratification. They are the victims of these predators and unless you have been a victim yourself I do not think any of us are qualified to question their reactions? TC

    As a kid you tend to believe what adults tell you. And if one tells you "if you say anything I will kill your family, because I know where you live" what are you going to do? The ones that did report it, as in all the abuse case from that era were classed as trouble makers and not believed or ignored. So they were dammed if they did and dammed if they did not. TC

    The eldest boy is 35 now I still remember the first day I took him ferreting when he was three like it was yesterday, teaching him how to climb gates. Getting him to shut up was the hardest part, those memories will live with me for the rest of my days. They do not seem very special at the time, but as they grow they become part of them. I see gaz taking his daughter out, I honestly feel more chuffed than him because I know what's coming, he does not yet.
