  1. Best around now are the Tracer lights See http://www.deben.com/tracer-sport-lights.html
  2. Deben do a Cluson adaptor. See http://www.deben.com/tracer-battery-connections/cluson-adapter.html. So you need this and a lithium battey. Am sure others will tell you the cheapest place for this.
  3. Yes, they are much better, especially the wiring.
  4. Heads up! the Lighforce 140 is available at half price from Deben http://www.deben.com/sales.html
  5. Beware, they are not 15Ah. They are 15A cranking current. This has nothing to do with the capacity. They are designed to give a high current for a short period of time to start a motor.
  6. Have you read the instructions? You need to have the collar at 90 degrees to get the correct depth reading. So lay it flat on the floor and measure vertically up not along. If you measure along the ground or walk away the distance reading will be less than it should be, which is what you are describing. This is the mistake I made.
  7. Tried them side by side, Tracer has better beam but not much in it. Tracer wiring is better as is the dimmer. This was 170 version.
  8. Also check out the Tracer range. http://www.arthurcarteruradshop.co.uk/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=128&cat=NEW+Tracer+Hand+Held+Lamps+
  9. Check out the Tracer range, supposed to be an improvement on Lightforce. http://www.tracerpower.com/sport-lights.html
  10. Get a lithium! http://www.tracerpower.com/battery-packs.html
  11. Yes, according to my dealer, Deben distributed the light force for many years, but were so p1ssed off with the amount of returns due to wiring problems that they decided to do the job properly themselves.
  12. Deben is fine when used properly. Just don't see the need to spend any more money.
