  1. How much is it this year for camping/fishing etc. Is there going to be a raffle and BBQ again after the match? I'll bring another one of those big boxes of cider with me.
  2. Can I put in for a provisional +1. My mates going to check his calender but is pretty sure he can make it. When's final date for him to confirm?
  3. Can we park where the tents are? On my own this time so I'd rather just crash out in the car than setting up that bloody marque of ours!
  4. I'm coming. Wife and nipper are staying home this time though so you'll all have to get your own beer and coffee during the match!
  5. Call one lad at work mumbles for obvious reasons, another called pockets as his hands never leave them and one called minty as he always comes in to work after 8.
  6. They probably did have to drop one for the camera. Cameras in those days were not the mobile devices of today!
  7. Shes looking great, filled out nicely! Just got a quick snap of max, I've given up trying to get photos on the phone whilst out, going to have to buy myself a camera! The beanpole of the litter! Just over 27" now. He seems to of leveled off at last, just need him to fill out a bit now.
  8. I've got a big Holly stick and think its lovely. It's pretty heavy for bearing with (much heavier than blackthorn) but I like it's durability, as the wood shrank back I just picked the dry bark off it where I'd be holding it. I haven't treated it with anything but the handle has polished up nicely from the grease and wear from my hands. I left it to dry for a year in my shed and it's now just finished it's third year of beating. The end has gone fuzzy where the fibres are fraying slightly (going to get a friend to put a brass ring in the end for me) but a pet from that it looks fine.
  9. They'll all break the bank! The cheapest ones £200-250 use telemetry like falconry which means you've got to carry one of those large TV aerial things with you. Various Garmin's are the favourite by far, they use gps to find their location then send the info back to your handheld device using a radio signal. You'll spend anywhere between £300-£400 for the handheld and one collar. Add about 150-250 for every extra collar you want. Price depends on the age of the model your choosing. Older collars like the dc40 or dc50 are cheaperbut are getting harder to find in good nick. The new T seri
  10. Cracking wrte up! I went camping in Hawes about 8 years ago, had torrential rain and was blowing a hooley! Not the best weather for hiking with a 2 year old! But it brightened up enough to get out. The scenery was amazing and the locals and pubs were great. Coming from Somerset I'd never seen so many rabbits though! Even tia our bullmastiff managed to catch one out by a wall whilst walking to hardraw force waterfall.
  11. Cheers guys, yeah there both fine. Anniversary is on the 16th so maybe celebrate it the weekend after. We'll see, I'll work my magic!! lol
  12. My missus dropped a sprog yesterday so don't know if I'll be able to make it this year. Spending our wedding anniversary by the side of a lake again but this time with a 5 month old baby might be a bit harsh! lol
  13. That's sh*t news Jim, I hope she makes a full recovery.
  14. Only trouble with straw or paper is getting rid of it once you've cleaned the kennel out! Takes forever to compost so really your only options are to fill your bin up or burn it!
  15. I think you'll fit in here just fine! lol
  16. Lol. As long as you have permission from the land owner then you can definitely use dogs and airguns to kill rabbits.
  17. Catching with your hands is easy.... 32secs into the clip! lol
  18. Must admit when you said he was 32kg I assumed he was carrying a bit of puppy weight but he's looking in great shape. Good job. How's his training coming on?
  19. It's easy enough just to throw a large wound dressing in your bag or coat pocket. You don't really need much else. Anything else you can do at home or at the car.
  20. A lamp shade type collar certainly helps with dogs licking and chewing at wounds/staples.
  21. Your right, by the sounds of it some of the others are a lot bigger. Maybe just chunky pups? Max has always been on the slimmer side ever since he was little. Fergie's certainly looking in great nick.
  22. Just measured and weighed Max, he's just over 26.5kg and 26 1/2"
