First Time I went ferreting at Chris's permission I took Tess with me as I'd told him how well behaved she was and the fact she had a nice gentle mouth retrieving rabbits back live to hand. He'd handed me a rabbit which I necked, took out the net and dropped at my feet whilst picking the sticks out the net. After a minute or two the rabbit suddenly jumps up and legs it into the hedge where my friend was . Tess was on it like a shot and I hear the rabbit squeal so start calling Tess out the hedge but Chris was shouting "No, No, No, Stop, Stop, Stop" Turns out he saw it running from the corne -
His feet are the same size as Bryn's already!!! lol Considering this cross or maybe a 1/4 cross for the near future, so will be watching his progress with interest! Thanks for sharing. Luke.

He looks like he likes picking up kiddies a fine example for children in how not to behave ATB Cookie Yep. I wonder if it his own van, or his employers. Employers probably If so then I wonder how his insurance cover looks? Most employers vehicle insurance only covers business travel.... which as it's a school bus I seriously doubt he's covered. Probably why he was trying to hide out the way..... Hand the info to the police stating you've got photo's of an uninsured driver driving a school bus, then ask for a crime referance number so they've got to investigate it.

Don't mean to take away from the fact the lady died but it's shit reporting as always..... Did all 5 dogs get involved in the attack or just one dog bit her and happened to catch an artery? Only two of the 5 were French Mastiffs... what were the other three? labs perhaps? terrier? why don't they name all the breeds involved rather than just try and pick out the ones they think will cause the most controversy and everyone can point a finger at? For all we know the mastiffs might of huddled in the corner whilst a Spanial went off the handle...

Cheers guys, just had a search on google maps. The foreshore looks like a winner, found a nice pub on the channel coast The lighthouse inn so I'll take a wander from there then some food and drink on the way back. Cheers again

I've always used whole Pheasant wings for young pups to retrieve, never seemed to do them any harm?? (as long as they don't treat it as a toy) Only thing I don't let young/inexperianced dogs retrieve is Pigeons, as the feathers come out really easily and can get stuck in their mouth's.

Got to head over the bridge to the passport office tomorrow to drop in a form and as I haven't got the missus or little'un with me, I thought I'd make a day of it and take the dogs for a wander. Anyone know anywhere decent for a wander that's fairly local to Newport?? Cheers

Try here. It's got everything you'll need and a decent mail order service. http://www.leprevo.co.uk/index.htm

Sub-sonic, Standard-velocity, High-velocity and hyper-Velocity : http://en.wikipedia..../.22_Long_Rifle 1640ft/sec should be more than enough for anything you can think of... http://www.cci-ammunition.com/products/detail.aspx?use=1&loadNo=0050 Anything more than that and you might as well get a .17HMR

The dimmer is fairly slow if going from really dim to full brightness using the dimmer button (maybe a second?), on the other hand, if you pull the trigger again, it'll instantly go to full power beam. The only thing that takes some getting used to is turning it off... You've got to remember to pull then hold the trigger in for a split second to turn it off, if you just pull the trigger and let go, it'll go to full beam, not good when your trying to be sneaky! Also the switches are silent action now, and when I opened it up the wiring didn't look half bad... Still put a cable tie tigh

Finally managed to find a free and simple editing package to cut down my videos to a watchable size, so here's a few clips from last years ferreting. Got a ton of videos but as almost all our ferreting is in hedge' it's really hard to film. My daughters first time Ferreting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umLjD2DccmQ&feature=share&list=UUmsGs1Uol9RnZcFyMUlVgDg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbX1yX9xT_E&feature=share&list=UUmsGs1Uol9RnZcFyMUlVgDg

As long as the sleeping area inside the kennel is fairly small/enclosed and they have plenty of straw to bed down into then it doesn't take the dog long to warm it's bedding area, I really wouldn't worry about it. In my old house where I had the room the dog slept outside, we bought a small shed as a kennel, then lined the inside with wood and built a box at the back stuffed with straw as a bed. He also was allowed to come into the kitchen during the day but sent out at night. If your really concerned about it and want them to sleep indoors but worried about damage/stealing from worktops th

Was a cracking day as always, on the walk to the first warren the fields were obscured by a thick mist and everything had a coating of frost, making the ground crunch as you walked. On the video you can see the mist blowing away and by the time we'd finished the first warren (maybe 25-30mins) the mist had cleared, the sun was up and the temperature had climbed considerably making us shed our fleeces and jumpers! Tess did well considering it was here first encounter of a long net, only trying to walk through it once! Also never noticed before but she's like a baby with a dummy, constantly havi
