  1. I personally take each and every buyer of one of my pups out with my dogs and show them how to train their dogs to the correct standard, so I know they'll get the full potential out of this breeding. They can come back any time for follow up training. I also do remedial training on dogs that try to run in on their quarry. If you want a lesson, then buy a pup.....
  2. Yeah but he's broke his to rabbits....catchable or uncatchable???? Either way he still expects them to catch rabbits...yours are schooled not to chase deer or badgers....full stop...not just deer or badgers you deem non productive to chase....???? Hardly the training feat of the year mate....is it....??? Your spot on though there's some right fukn fools on here.... Any type of game can come close to my dog's and they won't flinch until I tell them too.... A rabbit has run under my dogs feet and she still didn't budge until I told her to.... It's the bullmastiff in my breeding
  3. no that one live in essex and over run with Fallow but never run em see so many when out and about untrue just had last dog put down cancer but could slip her on a bunny in a field of deer and she would behave like they were not there first cross collie only came on here to check out other options Airdale pointer ect or should it be another collie bred, do have a soft spot for Whippets tho and they train up really well better not go into that tho may get lynched!!! I would go for a whippet mate.....don't think they would like the thought of trying to tackle a fallow... You say th
  4. You can't get heavier than mine.... Got to be the heaviest baseline Lurchers out there.... I get you man, Mine are trained exactly the same way. Took me f*cking ages to break them to deer mind, everytime I walked past them with a dog on a lead they'd run off... Not great for training I can tell you!! Luckily, I persisted and now not only do I have a dog that can walk right past deer offlead, we now also have tame deer! Did the same with the local Badger population too, Think I got a video of it on youtube somewhere.... I'll see if I can find it. Result on both counts! You'll prob
  5. Use a taxidermied fox mask and put it in the cage barred off from the terrier in the tunnel, bit of wet scent and bobs your uncle! At least those old ladies that enter their dogs into the Working class can now actually say their Terriers are entered to fox! lol
  6. Was a good show again, enjoyed saturday night and managed to avoid the 'Topper Speciabrew' (unlike Rory!) so didn't feel too rough in the morning. Met up with some cracking guys camping overnight and got to meet Erik again who I hadn't seen for a long while. Erik paid for my little'un to enter the child handler class, which she won, then went on to get reserve Champion, best in show so we were well made up for her!! Walking about the place covered in Rossettes lol, she'll be after one of them string leads soon! Topper, someone took a photo at the end of the Family dog show with my little'
  7. Will be there again, was a cracking show last year (apart from the hangover!!) That rough homebrew cider can stay where it is this time!! Can I book in for me and the nipper for the meal on sat evening again please Rog? See you all there. Cheers
  8. Get them off as a new born pup, If you can';t do it yourself then I think the vets only charge about a tenner per pup. Wish I had taken Tess's off when she was born, she smashed hers twice in one year, ripped the nail off first time, then smashed it the second time, the split went right back into the 'toe' She was lame until they took them off, so if they go wrong they can put a dog out of action for weeks... Phoned the vets for a quote and was told it'll cost £260 Phoned about and got quotes ranging from £150 to over £300 so definately worth shopping around.
  9. It's identical to the Izuzu base models, just 10 grand cheaper!. Trim changes slightly across the range but not much. At the Bath & West Show, the guy on the Greatwall stand used to work at the Izuzu and Subaru showroom just down the road from me. and pointed out their the same chassis, engine and main bodywork
  10. I think most dogs that bush are just following a scent rather than trying to 'work as a team' and push quarry in a certain direction. Once the busher enters cover, it's up to the Lurchers to be smart/experienced enough to put themselves in the right spot. It's usually where the older dogs will shine, as they always seem to be just in the right place at the right time.... With Spaniels (of any type) it's a two sided coin. Their all very good workers and will bush all day long, with the added bonus of being able to take a high degree of training and are multi purpose. Other side of the co
  11. Will be there for this one. Missus and daughter can't come, so I'll be left to my own devices. BRING ON THE CIDER!! lol
  12. Cracking looking dog Pat, get the training started straight away so you know what your working with, you should build up a bond with the dog just through the training as long as you keep it fun. Also probably worth getting those nails back as far as you can. At that length it won't help her toes/paws whilst doing road work. All the best with her.

  16. That's F*cking genius editing! lmao!
  17. Could well be a bad infection from the pellet wounds? or maybe even Foot & Mouth or TB? I'd of kept the head though!! get it sent off for scoring!
  18. Always used Rimadyl, My vet always prescribes me more than I need at the time! So I've always got some about the place. Pills are easy to give and last for years unlike the liquid or cream varieties.
  19. Copy and paste the IMG code when pasting from photobucket, it'll show the photo's rather than the link. Cracking looking dogs by the way! What crosses are they?
  20. Members on here have tried ex track dogs but usually say they turn their brain off when running, and are very prone to injury. Raising a greyhound from a pup and having it grow up to respect fences trees etc. and how to run properly?? I'd guess that would be a differant matter. Wouldn't mind giving it a go if some wants to give me a greyhound pup! lol Don't think I've ever heard of anyone say a greyhound jacked! they've just got too much drive to even think of backing off!! lol
  21. Lawful = common law Legal = Statutes Common law, also known as case law or precedent, is law developed by judges through decisions of courts and similar tribunals,[1] as opposed to Civil (Codified/Continental) Law set on statutes adopted through the legislative/parliamentary process and/or regulations issued by the executive branch on base of the parliamentary statutes. A "common law system" is a legal system that gives great potential precedential weight to common law,[2] on the principle that it is unfair to treat similar facts differently on different occasions.[3] The body of precede
