Thanks again for the day out guys, it was a lovely day in between the showers! Think it was only a minute or two after that first photo that I got stung on the neck by the bloody wasp! What the hell their doing out this time of year I'll never know! Checked through the Camcorder when I got home and there was nothing but film of blank holes. Mind you there was this...... Rik with his Ninja like speed! almost catching a rabbit by hand!

I just get pages and pages of cute girls......

This site is Google searchable. That's why you sometimes see Google as a 'user' reading a topic. Just means it's picked the topic out from it's search results. Most photo's you post on this site are also searchable through Google images.... It's not just this site, virtually all Forums are searchable (just check who's running the THL search bar at the top right....) Only way you can stop people pinching your pics is to either not post or just put a watermark across the front of it.

We were on a shooting contract fairly recently and as spotter I was issued a decent digital monocular. I can't recall the make but no expense was spared on everything else so I'd guess it was probably a decent make. After the first night I'd taken the Nightmaster off of it and put it on my cheap Lidl Nv. It just took too long to auto adjust it's contrast and there was no way to manually set it. Look at the brightly lit grass and it would darken, scan towards the hedge and you couldn't see bugger all for a second before it adjusted... it was bloody frustrating! At least with the cheapy one, on

My friend has the Photon and rates it quite highly. He uses it on a centrefire rifle, with a Nightmaster 800 IR attached, he shot a lamp shy fox at 170yds weve been after for ages. He said the body appeared 'fuzzy' against the grey background but was still possible to clearly identify quarry at that range. Eye shine can be seen quite a bit further depending on the IR your using. So for Rimfire ranges (extreme maximum 100yds) it would be perfect! and maybe overkill for an airrifle?? The Photon is a digital scope, so is basically used like a standard scope but has a screen set in the eye

Anything with Whippet or of Whippet size would do you fine for Rabbits I'd guess. It depends on the terrain you want to run the dog on, how your going to be using it (lamping, Ferreting etc.) even things like how much cover you have on your permission can change what dog might be suitable to you. Their all good at differant things. Longdogs are obviously the faster crosses but by putting Collie in the mix people try to make the dogs more intelligent or give it more stamina, or by adding Terrier breeds they try to add better coat or more tenacity. The list is endless and so are the points

Try here: just search for your make then model. It'll give you a technical drawing of your Drill stripped down and all part Nºs for each piece. http://www.powertoolspares.com/ We use them all the time for all our powertool spares. I'm always stripping the bloody things down! Decent delivery and good prices.

With Superglue, you've got to watch out which type you use nowdays. I know everyone always points out that it was used for sticking G.I's back together in Vietnam so will be fine to use but Technology and the use of new and more efficient chemicals have moved it on a lot since then. Making them faster curing, stronger etc. and most Superglues can cause more harm than good, giving chemical burns to the tissue it's in contact with and is also now classed as a medium risk irritant (we have to get COSHH sheets in for it at work now) If you want to use glue on skin then buy the proper stuff. It's an antibacterial wash not a conditioner. Would presume it wouldn't do bugger all for the fur? Mind you having never tried it to wash with, I wouldn't know?

Vet gave me a 100ml bottle a while back. Seems to work fine as the dogs have never got infected bites. It's mixed 10 parts water to 1 part Hibiscrub. Use cotton wool or an antiseptic wipe to clean the wounds out. For holes I use a small syringe to squirt the liquid into the hole properly.

All Boxer engines 'tick' (a bit like the old VW engines). Depending on the age and wear depends how loud the 'tick' gets. If the oils low then I'd guess that might make the ticking worse

I've got the 2000 non turbo Legacy so almost identical apart from a slightly larger boot. Put it bluntly, their bomb proof!! Mines never put a foot wrong I've ragged the cr*p out of mine on roads and across the stubbles chasing the combine up and down and the only things I've had go wrong was the clutch which was on it's way out when I bought it (think it was about £180 to get fixed) and a rusty exhaust which blew a hole, cost me a pint to get it welded up. I paid £600 for mine 2 years ago, done about 23k miles in it and to tell you the truth I've not even done an oil change on it since. On

Any idea on the rough cost of the course? -
Had exactly the same a few weeks ago, couldn't hit a barn door! missed every bird coming into the pattern, the more I missed the more I faffed about with my mount, swing, lead etc. even let a few land and shot at them and still missed!!! lol. So I stopped, had a fag, coffee and went for a walk in the wood to let the dogs have a run and went back 10-15mins later. A couple of pigeons jumped up from the pattern and I killed the first, and winged and dropped the other with the second shot. I think I must of been concentrating on my technique so hard I was putting myself off. Once I had a couple

Could you not contact some of the rescue societies? RSPCA etc. and tell them you've got land for them to release deer onto? They must always be taking in injured/young deer and need a safe place to release them after rehabilitation....

Gave them a ring, real nice guy answered the phone and gave me the advice of trying Sportsman gun centre just outside Yeovil as it would be a fair way to travel for a few cartridges. Phoned Sportsman, they sell mainly Eley and RC but didn't have the type I was after but had something very similar The RC40, their 4.40 for a pack of 10.so not too bad on price and cheaper than I've found online so I'll be off to pick some up soon! Anyone tried these cartridges and what did you think of them? (I'll be getting them in shot size 3) Cheers for the help. Luke

With the Harvest starting, I need to get some heavy cartridges for the foxes but I'm struggling to get them? Mole Valley Farmers and Scats don't do any (my usual source of cartridges) Online, I found some nice, 1500fps, 36g 3's by RC at £11.60 a box of 25 I don't/won't need to many so don't want to order a shed load of them. 50 would probably be plenty.. JustCartridges.com are charging £15 delivery for orders under 1000 cartridges. Thats almost £40 for 50 cartridges I pay that for 250 normal cartridges! Anyone any ideas? I live in South Somerset if that makes any differance?

Yep, we use the smaller three roll holder at work, for holding rolls of Plastic sheeting and PTFE tape.

I was pissed up on wine and Sloe Gin and on the wind up matey Guess it's gone a bit far eh! I'd have thought there were enough clues.... 50yrs experience and only 34yrs old and me having a go at the Bullbreeds but have three pics of them in my signature!! No need to have a go at my 'Thick as f*ck' bully bitch though! thats just getting personal! As for the litter, I'm sure if you look far enough back (about 5yrs?) you'll proabably be able to find the thread. It was an accidental breeding by my darling daughter letting them out together., by the time we realised she was in pup she w
