Hunting Ban Loophole Or Not ??? Its Up To You
bullmastiff replied to cocker's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Bet they'll bring in a licensing system. Affordable for the large hunts but out of reach of single hunters. "I'm sorry sir but your application for a hunting license has been dexlined" etc etc. -
My bitch both squats and Cocks her leg when pissing! Has done since a pup.

That would be my normal tactics! Either that or a 1/2 inch cube of luncheon meat on a size 6 hook! -

First time using one so i just did as youtube told me too!! I was using 2nm pellets, soaked for 2mins then drained the water off. I obviously didn't drain it enough as it was really wet and got stuck in the mould so I just squeezed it on by hand. Still worked though. second mix I did a lot better and they stayed in shape. Interestingly though the average size of the fish Went down. Don't know if is was just coincidence or the larger fish prefer ed ground bait style food? -

Not the biggest caught but certainly the hardest fighter. Weighed more than it looks to, It was a thick solid fish. -

Just got in from having a practice on Todber manor's snake lake. bought myself some of those method feeders to try out. Well either the lake is massively overstocked and the fish are starving after spawning or I'm just a natural with the method feeder.... I'm guessing the later! Every cast had a fish on within a few minutes and sometimes I hadn't even put the rod on the rest before the line was heading down the lake, I'm knackered! I had to take the bait out just to have a cuppa. Not used to this sort of fishing so found it bloody hard work Lol. Most were weak fighting common carp rangin -
Not looking forward to the nettles, their crazy 'hot' at the moment even the big woody ones are stinging the hell out of me already!!

Man I love that little bitch of yours. Just wish I had the open space to give one a home, you seem to have hours of fun with her. If I had one it'd have to cross several lanes/roads to get the kind of length hunts yours has! your never more than two fields away from a road here! Breeze (?) looks a good strong type too. How's she come on now? You were having a bit of trouble with her retrieve a while back weren't you?

Well done mate, still hitting them over I see! just make sure you leave some for us in the winter!! As always a great write up.

That's doggy style mate you should try it Nope.... number 45 in the karma sutra, reverse girl!!!

My mates boy is doing it. basically they just had him along and carried on their day as normal and just had someone to chat too whilst the keeper worked. within a few days he had him doing some of the simpler stuff, cleaning drinkers, carrying grain sacks etc. After a few weeks he was pulling his weight and really helping out. He has evn been offered a part time job during holidays etc. Just because a few people have had a bad experience, don't paint them all with the same brush.

I tried voting twice, but it told me I had already voted. I just tried again but it now says the same? Maybe a glitch.like when I was voting? Anyone tried voting from their phone then voting from their computer? -

You can vote as many times as you like! Just voted about 20 times and it went from 43.82 to 43.83 This might take awhile!!! -
I don't know if you've been to west Scotland before but if not then after Glasgow go left up the side of Loch Lomond to get to Fort william. It's an amazing drive and the scenery was stunning

Buy your midgey spray there. We bought some from boots and took it with us. It was bloody useless!!! Bought some from a local shop in Fort William and it worked a treat

We wanted to go up Ben Nevis when we were there but got told we weren't allowed as nipper was too young. We explained we had all the right gear with us and were fully prepared for the cold but they still said no. It was packed anyway with a constant stream of people going up in massive groups. so we phoned the campsite and told them we were going up the next mountain along anyway (can't remember the name). Was much quieter, we were the only ones at the top. bloody cold and wet mind you so we didn't spend long up there! but I still wish we had just said sod them and gone up as their wa

Never tried central Scotland. I'll keep that in mind for next year. What's the midges like there? When we were at Fort William they were terrible. David, that's only about 35 miles from me. We regularly head to that part of the coast around Weymouth. It's great for walking and loads for the nipper to do too.

I'll probably just be using maggots or luncheon meat on my hook. trying to learn about groundbait and how to use method feeders from YouTube at the minute!! I'll probably just end up float fishing though! -
Ended up booking into The Quiet Site near Ulswater for the start of August. Thanks for the suggestion B.R. Looks like a cracking area and with a pub on site for the evening it's got everything we want! Cheers again!

Thank you. Few more quick questions sorry this is my first proper match! Are we fishing for any fish or just carp or silvers? And if it's any fish can they all go in the same keep net or have carp and silvers got to be separated? I presume it's only one rod in the water at once? Cheers luke. -

Ems caught this one on the whip. Think emily will be coming with us too but she won't be fishing. Her and Lisa are heading off into leicester whilst I desperately try to catch my first fish! If I haven't hooked myself in the first hour and still got some tackle left then I'm doing well! -

I'll ask at work tomorrow if you don't get an answer by then. joe, apparently kids will happily sleep through smoke alarms... http://metro.co.uk/2013/06/27/most-children-will-sleep-through-smoke-alarms-post-mick-philpott-study-claims-3859999/
