Don’t mind £6.50 tbh, it’s far cheaper than the peanuts. I could get it for nothing if I help myself from the feed store by the pheasant pen but don’t want to take the piss...

Went to a local supplier today, on way back from work. I got a 20kg sack of mixed corn for £6.50, mixed a couple of small bags of peanuts in, too.

Only just had a chance to put it up, i didn’t bother with the poles though. plenty of room inside, and easy to put up/down.

Unfortunately disturbed a sparrow hawk mid munch. It seems he only scalped it.

Guinea pig food seems popular although there’s a bit on the floor. Also a bit more reinforcement needed.

I have purchased a trail camera, this evening. When it has arrived I will deploy it, and hopefully all will become clearer. whatever it is, is going through a lot of feed....

The buggers have been going through peanuts at an astonishing rate, they’ve started the chewing too.... Going to try this new (far cheaper) bait, also I’ve reinforced the feeder....

Nice little session this morning, bloody cold wind was a real biter. Nothing at the first permission, and only 3 at the second but nice to be out with the ferrets and dogs. Now a little chill out then bring the Welsh to the slaughter ????

As said, rabbits are breeding all year round now. Hopefully they will make a comeback on my permissions.

Plaster beading is a great idea. I did think about putting holes in the bottom, just thought I’d give it a week or so.

Feeders built and put out, bring on the vermin... quite a few have been seen around the release pens but not much bait has been eaten.
