  4. i dont know the lad but i recognise the couloring of the dog very similar to a dog i knew in germany called sabuk from iran
  5. no she wasnt agressive atall but very clever great nose she would dig voles up in a field almost ferrell ,her style hmmvery long gait made the job look easy with the amout of ground she covered ,i could compair her becouse i had a uk bred sal at the time aswell .now he was a fkn agressive fkr not to be trusted he jus turned and wouldnt give in almost dangerous .

  9. she was ok very fast ,but unfortunatly she died just the way things happen think she was about 5 or 6 when she went very different from your uk stuff both in temperement and style

  17. all i can say is i had a saluki /grey about 82 ish ,use to go every sunday big coursing meet on an estate most dogs were deerhound x,s my salx wiped the floor with themthey just dint have it in them ..

Were they as good as they say or did they just seem that way because they were far superior to the traditional deerhound x collie x ect that made them seem so good. kinda like football the older guys will always say the players and teams were better back in the day than they are now yes they were good in there dayand supirior to the traditional coursing deer and collie x.s would they be today ? we will never know .
  19. the pup i had was the spitting image of yhat hoover dog but he got brain damage and i hd to pts he was a powerfull beast only 4 when he went .

  21. Yep, famous coursing dogs from the 1970s. Rumour has it that Merlin was line bred with saluki, beddie, grey and possibly other things in him and Eve was a high % saluki with deer and greyhound in the mix. Legendary dogs - often the true ability of famous dogs is disputed but the consensus seems to be that these two really were fantastic. Given that, many people will claim to own and have puppies available from dogs from their lines which may or may not be true! But their true progeny were also, some of them, very good dogs too, so it's said. just goes to show what was in the mix years
