  1. My friend had a saluki x snap it's ligament in one of it's toes, he took it straight to Paul Evans at Oldham, he reattached it and the dog was running again in 6 weeks!!. I only use local vets for jabs now, any injuries etc i go straight to Paul Evans, it saves both time and money in the long run. Local vets just want to give you anti inflams and come back in a week!! and arn't really treating the injury.
  2. Scotty was the dog treated by a specialist greyhound vet? or just the run of the mill vet.. the first time he injured his toes?.
  3. Vaccintains are different in other parts of the world as are vaccination times, all my pups are jabbed at 8 weeks and the pups that went to both finland and the US had to be jabbed again. I was stating the facts they don't have to be jabbed. I will think twice before jabbing any pups that are exported again as it only takes a quick phonecall to the airline to check to see if any other dogs are on the flight. The importer has to sign a declaration that the pup is going to be kept on there premises until it has had it's vaccinations. The pup does need worming and tick and flea treatment administ
  4. Doesn't matter how long it takes mate as long as the knots don't slip and the nets do the job. You'll get more satisfaction catching rabbits in the nets you've made than ones you've bought in. It took me well over an hour to knit a net when i first started when i was 12 years old.
  5. You've got to admit though Stabba it's an uncanny resemblance
  6. I do 2 3'6" nets an hour knitting straight onto the rings.
  7. he's going to love you for putting this up PMSL!!!
  8. Took a few shots of the dogs this afternoon, thought i'd share a few
  9. If your talking about pups mate, all they need is a pet passport they don't even need vaccinating as long as they go before there 12 weeks old. I sent a whippet pup to finland via Manchester airport a couple of years ago and was surprised how easy it was.
  10. Always best to walk the fields during the day mate and get to know them, i saw a mates dog hit a field roller one night that was hidden by nettles, not a pretty sight.
  11. Too right Lab, i certainly wouldn't jump over her to get to you
  12. Does he ever smile!! just won a grand slam and he has a face as long as next week!!!
  13. Not been to chatsworth for 10 years mate, i was so disapointed the last time i went i said i'd never go again. Sad really as back in the early 90's if you had a dog qualify there it was a great achievement and a really good show.
  14. Hope they have mowed the grass this year, previous years they couldn't be bothered!!. Giving it a miss this year as there taking the piss with the entry price when they put the lurchers 1/2 mile from the main fair, yet still feel it fit to charge us full entry price!! I'm off to the pride of the peaks, at least you don't get ripped off there
  15. Pluck them mate, then dunk them in hot water you will find the down feathers will just rub off then mate

  18. Cheers mally Is it not the right time for rabbits at the moment then? yes plenty of rabbits about at the moment, I've got a chest freezer full here but I'm miles away from you. I get £1.25 ea gutted and £2.00 each skinned and gutted just to give you an idea. There's not alot of mark up on rabbits thats why the dog meat suppliers don't deal with them alot.
