    I had my FAC granted about a year ago and on the visit, the FEO warned me that any runs ins with the police and my guns will be taken prior to any investigation. I've no record etc, it was a statement of fact that the SWP are doing that for anyone.

    A couple of weeks, but depends on how busy the camera is at night with the infra red. I use Lidl rechargeable AAs. My trail cam is a couple of years old and a generic one off Amazon.

    They go for the ducks as they wait outside their house, we hide behind an old goose house and use the waiting ducks as bait (all ducks were unharmed while we were there)

    This overweight item had 10 of our ducks, before we could get home in time to shoot him, Baikal MP-153 SA and Solway 3" 50g BB at 10 mtrs. I think that every bone was broken, like jelly.

    I always use rechargeable AA in mt trail cam, uses 8 at a time and my charfger onlt takes 4, so overnight for all batteries to be charged

    I've got a saddle mount for my Baikal so I can fit scopes, Pard says that its rated at 5000 joules, so I've mailed them and asked the question. Cheers Simon

    Guys I have an issue with close range foxes, They attack my ducks and geese before I can get home in the evening. I've shot 2 on the weekends when I hide up and wait for them to go for the ducks and its usually dusk then and I can see them. My trail camera shows me their out in the field sniffing around the poultry houses and its pitch dark. My thoughts are to get a PARD NV008 and put it on the saddle mount on my SA. Anyone used night vision on a fox with shotgun? I don't need range as I they usually come within 10 mtrs of my hideout and 50g of BB they don't repeat. Cheers

    Diluted hibiscrub prescibed by the vet was what we used when one of our cockers had an open wound on his neck and it healed great. Good luck Simon

    It seems to very interested in the goose leg and somehow managed to set the trap off but it still won't go in . When you use a caller, do you keep a lamp on or how do you know when the fox has arrived? As I've only got a shotgun, I've got to get him to come to within 30 meters, plus its woodland /scrub and its seems that its main route is through brambles.

    Can't use snares as I've got cats and dogs who run over the woods, otherwise it would be good as for the last 2 nights its been coming down the same path. I think that just before the chickens go in, I might try an ambush

    I've been experimenting with one of those small round bluetooth speakers and I've downloaded some fox calls onto my phone and when I've tried it my dogs go beserk, so in the new year if the trap hasn't worked... :-)

    Guys I've been having fox problems with my poultry for a few months, fox taking chickens and ducks at dusk just before they go in. I've left a trail cam watching the pens but nothing at night. My mother in law got me a another cam for Christmas and I've finally found where they are active at night. I've put a cage trap near where the pics show it going back and for, but it obviously didn't fancy cooked goose carcase last night, so I'm now going to try a parts of a goose it killed which I put in the freezer.     My mate has just set up a microbrewery, and he always says "Shit in - Shit out" meaning bad ingredients make a bad brew. A good brew is all in the 'mash' going in. Same as distilling, cheap super strong flour mix and you have to charcoal filter the spirit to remove the homebrew taste, use a good grain mash then you should get a good result.

    Cheers These aren't urban foxes and I think they are young as we didn't have the problem last year. We can hear them barking on our land and in the neighbouring gardens, so I'm hoping to revove some of the juveniles and the balance will be restored!!     Guys I have a fox coming into my chicken pens. Its had 4 when I forgot to shut them away at night. This morning there was a heap of black sh*t in the pen and it wasn't from my dogs!! I've found where its possibly getting in under the fence from my veg plot. It seems to be coming along the river bank as my cockers tracked it but it goes out of my property. I can't use snares as part of the land has houses backing on to it so could have cats around. My question is are there any suppliers of live fox traps that someone can recommend as there are loads when you Google!! Also if th
