    yes stubby saved a lot of money and it does the same job.

    Can you get one for the 170 striker the ir filter sheet is what i fitted to the striker 170.

    about 70/80 yards without the ir filter and about 200+ with it.hell of a difference.

    tried them tonight the binoculars have not got an inbuilt ir so i use the lamp with the ir filter on and it works brilliantly.lights the place up like daylight,good bit of kit for spotting and goes a long way well pleased.only thing is you have to hold the lamp and the binos in each hand but i can put up with that.

    i have got a chance to buy a pair of old metal nv binoculars but when i tried them a while ago i couldn't see a rabbit 20 yards away would an ir illuminator make any difference thanks . edited to add you could see pretty good but the eyes didn;t light on the rabbits.

    i bought a piece of ir filter sheet to try on my lightforce 170 lamp to use with my gen1 dedicated rifle scope,what a result i couldn't beleive the difference it made and the distance it goes is unbeleivable only trouble is i can;t fix it to the scope because it is a hand held lamp.but i will manage with it until i can save enough money for a ir laser.i just thought i would let you know because you have all been so helpful.

    i used to shut them up when it gets dusk but they will go in when they are ready so you can shut them in then atb.

    i had six beagles one time and none of them had a booster and all lived between 13 and 15 years old with no problems what so ever.
