  10. as our shoot is diy and we can't visit every day we have to use hoppers we feed only the release pens first and use a few auto feeders with whistles to get the poults to cotton on that the whistle means a feed then in oct we feed out to the other drives we also use the auto feeders to draw the birds into the better drives we scatter straw arround the aut feeders and this keeps them happy scratching about and staying put.having said that i have beaten and helped out on a few shoots and if the keeper is spinning and hand feeding he does seam to have the edge and know where his birds are most of

  17. has your mate done anything with the pup and what's it's breeding. (cheers).
  18. do not take your pup near a shot gun untill you have it used to less bangs like a starter pistol and get it used to noise in general lawn mower hammering etc then if the pup dont flinch at these levels of sound get a pal to fire a shotgun about 100 yards away while you stay with the pup keeping an eye on it for any bad reactions if ok then get your pal to come closer say 60 yard and fire again work up to geting the dog used to the gun don't rush it if you get it wrong it will be a longer job to put it right. ps don't fire a gun near woods or anywhere the noise can echo or bounce off get in
