  2. am after a beddy greyhound pup if anyone nows of any let me no
  3. boys and girls i couldnt care less what cross it is as long as it catch rabbits and for catching rabbits a fast dog catch diffrent to a slow dog but they still catch. they are long dogs but its still a running dog so who cares and my lurchers wouldnt run in a race a less there was a rabbit running
  4. any help then lads thats my two after a nights lamping
  5. Am looking for a new pup for lamping and i was wondering if anyone knows of any litters around. Most of you will no that i have two 3/4 bedlington cross but they are 6 now and are to old for this lamping game now. Also there not the best of dogs for lamping but they have had their fair share of rabbits and foxes over the years. AM not to sure what sort of cross i really wont yet see what takes my fancy But i would like the dog or bitch to make between 22 and 25 inch so it will make a good all round lamper. Thanks for your help boys and girls
  6. so he is saying you cant have a dog then because what is the diffrents between a springer being left then say a beddy whippet i used to take my two for a run in the morning then one after work most lurchers are in kennels or in side because if not they will be up to all sorts
  7. i would say it that as well josh we will go in the van
  8. if i waas you i would get a book on lurchers and read it before you make you get a pup. and if its for ferreting and lamping rabbits and maybe get a fox then i would go for beddyx or colliex
  9. there are my two luchers that was a nights work with them
  10. rabbits it has to be bedlington blood but they will also do foxes on the lamp but i think for a out and out fox dog the bullx is better. but what i cant understand you get a lot of lads that get a bull x for the rabbits and doing the a couple of foxes.
  11. hello lad i would say a collie x is a good first time lurcher and they are very clover but dont rush and by any old dog take your time about it and i got two beddlingtons what are 3/4 breed and they lamp and ferret but have had eveythink before the ban they are 20 inch and i would say 19 to 22 inch is the best size rabbit dogs but if you add bedlington most will take foxes as a lot of the lads on this site will tell you i can put a pic of my two on if you wont me to
  12. i like the green one the best but if the rabbits are not lamp shy white light is best
  13. hello i got 2 reverse 3/4 beddy greyhound and am hoping to put her back to a whippet greyhound. they lamp and ferret well and done a bit of everythink but need a bit more speed on the biiger fields
  14. i hate people who sell on dogs i would never do that to a dog that i got from a puppy. i would do anythink for my 3 dogs if the miss said its me or the dog you no what i will say bye then lol
  15. beddyx are good for the rabbits but will take foxes as well before the ban
  16. my beddy bitch has had 13 in one night and most dogs on this site will have had alot more then that. i dont think you no that much about lurchers or your just big head coz i no for a fact if it was a good a dog as you make out why sell it. Anyway mate it is a nice looking dog and i would hold on to it if a was you and get shut of pup if have too
  17. it cant be a ace lamp dog if its only catch 13 rabbits and its 15 months old. if it was good people wouldnt sell it. but nice looking dog anyway and hope it finds a good home where someone will look after it and work it not just pass it from piler to post.
  18. hello most of my rabbits go to the butcher trade as well and i have 2 3/4 bedlington x 1/4 greyhound s. they are coming to be 6 now and still catching . and a dog doesnt need to be fast to catch rabbits. also the dog that is used for that sort of cross you was dising is a bedlington and they are a quite breed. also am not knocking whippets at all because there good little catch dogs but for ferreting i don't think they have the coat or the nose like a beddyx or collie does. does anyone no of when they started using beddy blood because most of the old tape lurchers are all rough
  19. i have a striker and a laserlight both or good but deepends what sort of lamping am doing because i like the filter better on the laserlight for running the lurchers
  20. everyone too their own but for me a ferreting dog is a dog that catches rabbits and work cover to put rabbits to the ground and mark up. all so know about purse nets and longnets. i would say the best kind of dog for just that work is a beddyx or collie x whippet. big dogs will never work cover like a little beddyx will all so because my two bedlington cross are mostly beddy they have one hell of a good nose on them.
  21. hello i wasn't happy with 4 so had another run on the way home. it was a good catch but it started ranning loads after so went home. and i skinned the rabbits so come round to your house now. we would of got more last night but we was playing around with the long net. and it was the beddy bitch that got the rabbits
  22. i love the old beddyx mine are 3/4 x and there still working well brother and sister but going to have a pu[p at the bitch i hope if i can find a nice dog
  23. nice dog there this is my two there getting old now but that was a good night before the ban
  24. hope the dog does what you wont it to do for you and i hope that is to catch rabbits . is it the first lurcher you have had and best of look with him
  25. a nice beddyx will do the job for you but dont rush out and get any old dog because good things come to them who wait
