  3. A magpie shot with the same pistol
  4. This one tried to get away after being shot by my Sheridan .20 caliber pistol
  5. Well worth a try mate the Bisley's weigh in at 18.2grain which is a very heavy hollow point whereas the H&N's are weighing in at 12.6. Give them a try and let us know how your gun shoots with them
  6. Hyperion is right they are very good for rats and ferrals in barns but like he pointed out they are a little on the heavy side, so they will fly slower than some pellets. I use these H & N Pest Control Pellets they are a light weight 12.6gr hollow point and are the perfect pellet for short range pest control very fast and hard hitting. IMO these will do the job really well for rats and ferrals in barns...
  7. 55 yards with a MK I Theoben 12/200 .20 caliber was my longest shot for a rabbit (12ft/lb) Although we had a joker here that made me laugh called Tic Tak man and he reckoned he was nailing Tic Taks at 70 yards (can you smell the Bulls**t?). I will still stick to 30-40 yards nowadays unless I feel really lucky...
  8. That is faulty mate and not to mention very dangerous too. Take it back to where you got it from IMO..
  9. Providing that the seals in the gun are in good order then leaving CO2 capsules in will be ok. Although I would not recommend leaving them in for very long periods of say 1-2 months. This is just an educated guess here as I have CO2 guns myself.....
  10. What would you call a fair cash offer for it? not sure mate, what do they cost new ? its the nickel plated one i think They cost about £100-£120 at my local gun shop brand new..
  11. What would you call a fair cash offer for it?

  14. thanks timelord this is what its had done Bloodwood Grips, CB Alloy Breech with Extended Bolt and Dovetail Mount, CB Trigger job, Mighty Strong Hammer Spring, all as supplied by Crooked Barn. An additional modification is the sleeved and screwcut barrel that is threaded to 1/2" UNF for silencer. All you need now is a really nice trigger shoe to finish the job

  16. I'm glad that you see where I'm coming from here Chris £36 vs £9 no contest it's a complete no brainer here
  17. Well I've have many scopes over the years and magnification is no good if the image is blurry. I went lamping a while back using a standard 4x32 scope and it was very good to use. I now have a a JSR 3-9x Illuminated PX pro scope and because of the larger bell (50mm) I found a little more clearer at night with the lamp. Tranference of light to the eye is all about the quality of the optics and how well the light going down the tube hits the eyeball. You must take into account the the eyes dilate in darker conditions (night time) so that more light can reach the retina. So maximising the amoun
  18. £36.95 is way over the top and the laser is only a piss poor 1mw output. I will also point out that the dot will be eliptical in shape thus resulting in a large blimp shape (flying saucer) at 30 yards, not a nice neat round dot as seen in that American video. This is because the divergence is disgusting in these lasers. The top end lasers on the site I linked here will cost you the maximum of $18 = £9 for all the mounts battery and laser which will be brighter at 5mw. 5mw can be seen on bright days for good range finding, but 1mw can not be seen in bright daylight at all. Here are 2 las
  19. GAT that brings back memories for me the front end on those could give you a nasty dead leg when they pop out
  20. Well I'm 39 years old and was given my first air rifle when I was 7 years old. This was to shoot with my father supervised until I was responsible and old enough to go it alone. So if you do the maths I've been shooting air rifles for 32 years. This thread is to give all members a chance to tell us here a little about yourself and how long you've been enjoying this fantastic sport
  21. Great post Hyperion and thanks for clarifying what so many people see on TV too. This only goes to show that people should not believe what they see on the TV and other media like Youtube etc. I totally agree that rabbits should always have the head shot, for humane reasons and also not to spoil the meat.....
