Nice MFR you have there wats as I said if I want to look for a more expensive scope I'll be looking for a 30mm tube. These JSR scopes hold true zero very well so it will good enough for now, there's no signs of chromatic abberation at the highest magnification and you can clearly see everything on full mag up to 10 yards. On the lowest magnification even closer both mags go right out to infinity just fine on the parrallax adjuster, so for £89.95 you won't find a better scope for that price

Cheers mate, the worst thing was that it was nicked from the van while i was up the scaffolding so it must be someone on the same site. if i find out who he will wish he had been run over, and then i will want all my shooting pics back that were on it! As they say Tyla "what goes around comes around" so this b*****d will have his come upance

It not gas it's PCP (pre-charged pneumatic) so all you'll need is a pump or a diving bottle system to pre-charge it oh like i said ive only ever used springers what sort of prices are the diving bottles and i guess the pump is manual? Well if your not very fit or strong then don't buy a pump. The pumps can cost from £100-£180 and the diving bottles in 12L can cost about £200 and then you'll need the A clamp and guage fitted, this can cost about £60...

I agree fully Jasper for the money spent on these scopes they are pretty damn good. If I wanted anything with the same spec as the JSR 6-24x50 Illuminated milldot reticle PX PRO, then you could be spending anything from £200-£300 easily. Now as this scope only cost £89.95 well all I can say is it's real value

He could have shot a target in his garden or something like that aye Jasper I'm not convinced with his scope either 4x32 is only good for something like the ratcatchers. With .177 Theobens being able to take quarry cleanly at 50 yards, you'll need a bit more scope power than that On my S-TYPE I'll be using a JSR 6-24x50 Illuminated milldot reticle with PX PRO adjustment. These scopes are really good for their money as I use the 3-9x50 version on my King Ratcatcher. If I upgrade the scope in the future I will probably go for something with a 30mm tube and similar spec to the JSR....

I'm not gonna add to this thread with the usual SPAM like "nice shooting mate " I completely understand your frustration with possible injuries on the quarry and I'm sure it's happened to all of us here. I enjoyed the read Tyla and thanks for sharing it with us here, oh and good luck with getting a new camera and I hope the b*****d who stole it gets run over or something like that I hate bloody thieves bigtime they should throw the key away on them.....

Probably the Rapid Mk1...it has a lot of history and is rugged and reliable!!! But the youngsters may well say the S Type!! ...sorry Mr Daystate (even though I used to have a Huntsman), you may like to consider yourself the "inventor" of the modern PCP but....!!! I agree the Mk 1 is a fantastic bit of kit as I used to own one, I hope you don't put me in the catagory of the younsters at 39 years old I'm older than most and younger than some here . But when my S-TYPE arrives I will be able to give a good comparison between both rifles So maybe I'll be able to add some feedba

Nice little review Liam maybe you could add some pictures of the gun as well

You won't get better than a Theoben rifle the quality is outstanding on these rifles. As for the wait from now it's 18 days from today ha ha 18 days 7 hrs 26 mins 17 secs? Something like that I still have other guns to shoot and many interests to keep me occupied so time will fly past for me. It will be the last day that will seem the longest in the waiting game, but as they say "the best comes to those who wait"

I like the pumps (Hills pump with Dry-pac kit) because the keep you very fit How many shots do you get per fill Liam?

You'll have to start saving mate

You still never answered the question put forward in this thread Liam. But I understand your point about the gun and the shooter

I'm gonna have to say Theoben S-Type as I've just ordered one I like the Daystates but don't get on with the stocks and all this electronic gizmo trigger system. If you ask me it's more to go wrong having electronics on board. So its Theoben S-Type all the way

Sure thing Jasper I will probably notify everyone in this thread when it arrives, then do some extensive shooting ie 1 full charge and 1 tin of pellets for shot capacity in my garden. Then take it out for a mooch to see how the weight is on a long walk, I won't be sucking up to Theoben like the writers in the gun magazines do. I totally agree with you on this one here, they act all excited over a piece of crap to promote some nomark company lending them the gun for review. As I said before in this thread I had a MK I 12/200 and could not find a fault with it so god only know how the flagship w

My stepson will be using my other gun with me to go out shooting so the answer is no. The trigger is there as well as the safety catch too, the RPG (as you refer to it as) is the 500cc buddy bottle holding 3000psi/200bar of pressure to give me 500 shots in .177 This is the Rolls Royce of air rifles and all these BSA's and Air Arms etc don't even come near the Theobens

Don't you start :laugh TICK TOCK TICK TOCK i could only dream of owning such a weapon i hope it lives up to ur expectations! good luck As they say dreams can come true and this is only possible if you are determined enough to make it happen I'm sure it will exceed my expectations and knock spots off all the guns tha lads have down my gun club Don't ask what they have down the gun club because most of you here have posted about them..

I use one of THESE HERE and it knocks spots off my 12volt Deben 100m Tactical lamp, I've made my own red filter from heat resistant glass because this thing is so powerful it can melt plastic in seconds Is this bit of kit woth the £9 from usa? How long did it take to arrive? Ta Ade The kit come from hong Kong and took about 7-10 days to arrive via free shipping, and if you brought it in the UK you'd be spending up to £ for it here

What you gonna name him? Billy Bob or Cleetus
-
I think you'll find he's looking for air rifle shooting as this is the Air rifle section
