    Naaa get a Theoben S-TYPE
  2. Adam I'd just get a Theoben mate Once you've got it you'll never look at another gun again
  3. Ermmmmm I think you'll find this topic is about STANDING shots?
  4. I'd stick with the Air Arms Field Diablos Accupells as they are very good pellets and very accurate, but I've been told by Theoben that Accupells use a high content of steel to lead in their pellets which can damage quality barrels. This is for Theoben's Anshutz barrels, all though I'm not sure of who makes Air Arms barrels? Air Arms Field Diablos are extremely accurate and use a softer compound of lead so they will deform really well on impact with the quarry thus producing a clean kill. I'm not saying that Accupells do not produce clean kills but I will only use Accupells in my King Ratty a
  5. Just splash out and get a Theoben S-TYPE it will knock spots off all the above suggestions
  6. Thanks hw97 you just can't inmagine how happy I am with this gun, and this morning I cured it's virginity with a pigeon off my bird table in the back garden Sorry no pic of the pigeon as my Shar-Pei dog ripped it to bits Lovely rifle there mate I have had a couple of theoben mfr's, accurate as anything, lovely mag system, fantastic shot count, brilliant stocks, cannot fault any of the rapid range. If you decide to go FAC the rapids the rifle to do it with, enjoy it, atvb Richard I totally agree and IMO nothing comes close to a Theoben rifle for accuracy and shot count, l

  8. Thanks hughesey1552 I'm totally over the moon with it and I've only put 70 shots through it already. The Harris bipod comes as standard with the S-TYPE'S and it certainly is the dogs nuts of bipods too
  9. Here's a quick shot of my baby :D :D
  10. My S-TYPE has arrived and I'm totally blown away so far, guys I promise to get some pics up for you all. But for now I'm just gonna play and get the feel of it :D :D
  11. With standing shots (a true discipline) it's an absolute must to master this technique. The more you do it the stronger the muscle groups that you use to do this will get. Just keep practising on non live targets until you are completely confident to do it in the field on live quarry. The standing shot is the most difficult of shooting positions to do, but the most rewarding when your on the move and have nothing to rest your gun on. As we all know from time to time the quarry is unpredictable and will present itself when your slightly off guard and can only take it down from the standing sho
  12. I tryed these things once and found all of what people say above to be true as well as the silly plastic skirts get ripped off in a 12ft/lb rifle Just stick to a good quality lead pellet that your gun prefers
  13. Well Theoben have come through and today I've been told I should be picking my S-TYPE up Once I've zeroed and had a play etc I'll pop a pic or two up. Give me about a week or so and I'll post a review on it. For now I'm waiting on the call from the gun shop to say it's arrived
  14. I could no agree more Al they should take a look HERE BEFORE POSTING
  15. Very interesting stock that! They are known as profile stocks which Theoben do not make anymore
  16. Not at all and they are a lot better than all the above torches and only cost about £9 compared to buying the same sort of thing in this country for about £60. Have a look HERE. You'll also see it fixed to my gun in my signature
  17. Sound good a bit of roughing it and I'm sure you guys can knock a little bivvi up for the night to get round the no tent bit. Good luck with the hunt and let us all know how it goes Molie
  18. £680 What planet did you or would you pay that much? ONLY £559 HERE
  19. How much do they go for brand new down under Victor?
  20. I use a surefire 14v and it's excellent for my needs not to mention very cheap
  21. A sensible £400 would be realistic in the current climate of the credit crunch and that's not bad for a second hand rifle. Whether it's 1500 or 15,000 shots passed through a gun, second hand is second hand. No doubt whoever buys this gun will have a little peach of a gun with a good life span as it's an Air Arms
  22. Hmmm I'm glad you did that test as you've stopped me clicking the button 'add to basket' and seeing that Theoben recommend that I use .177 Air Arms diablo fields I will stick with these
  23. Fantastic job you've done there and I'm glad you decided to share it with us all here
  24. The maximum kill range is 20-25 yards and it will group at this range very well too as it's extremely accurate. I did a review of it HERE so have a read and see what you think. Before you ask I will not be selling it as it's the best pistol you can own in a legal power range
  25. Yes it the Sheridan Pro Hunter EB20 CO2 pistol in .20 caliber the most powerful air pistol out there. You can not get the .20cal versions anymore as they stopped making them in 2001, so they are rare as rocking horse S**T. But if you are ever offered one then snap it up before someone else does
