    thanks ian, iv'e done that but i cant pull it down its attatched to the variable control and there dosent seem to be any play in the wire do you know of a way of getting the handle to open , without me breaking it . i had the same problem,i had to saw down to the seam at top of the hand,then down the hole seam ,fix tape back together it work for me,a bit of work but saved on buying a new one
