no it means that if you have the landowners permission you can shoot on any land that you deem suitable. it does not to be cleared by the police and you do not need to inform the police that you shoot there
i don't see why everyone has to snipe at each other. it's more than bad enough with the antis trying to get our hunting sports banned without people from different practices having a go as well. if you can't say something constructive then there is no point saying anything at all. yes, you might prefer to run the fox and chase it down with your dog but that doesnt give you the right to tell the shooting men what they can and can't do. doesn't help anyone.
and didnt the hunting ban make it illegal to kill foxes with a dog????
when i bought them i did'nt even know they were moly-coated. i havn't bothered loading any as i can't see the point in wasting hours cleaning the bore of my rifle.
well considering my quarry is muntjac i was thinking that 87g bullet heads would do the job nicely. however i am keen to try some of the hornady 58g v-max (very flat shooting) so would varget be a good powder for both? cheers, Jack
i just bought some of these for my .243 and was wondering why they are moly-coated and whether they're any good as a bullet. ive never seen moly-coated bullet heads before and i assumed they'd be the regular ones.
also what powder weights and C.O.L. should i use for these. ive found loads of data but none for Vit N150 so what range powder weights should i be doing?
Cheers, Jack
i'd say that the majority of people whos shoot and lamp foxes do it not for sport but for pest control. yes there will be some enjoyment in it because you wouldn't necessarily do it if you hated it but it shouldnt just be about whose sport the fox is
i'm guessing you want the varmint barrel for targets. the remington offers more customisation in future which could get you a fantastic shooting target rifle if you throw some money at it. however i've heard that tikkas are always great shooters straight out of the box whereas some remmy's arent so good. depends how much money you want to put into it i spose
one quote states, 'something was clearly driving them, they were all headed in the same direction and seemed to be going somewhere' or words to that effect. i'd hazard a guess that their 'drive' was a little thing called the wind
i don't know if anyone listens to radio 1 but they conducted a bit of a survey for fun. they asked random people for two things to be answered. firstly they were shown a picture of 10 downing street and asked who lives there. secondly they were asked who lives in a pineapple under the sea, the answer of course being spongebob squarepants.
now i know GB won't be living in number 10 for much longer the way he's going but not one person answered the number 10 question right. the most popular answer seemed to be 'David Beckham'. i can't believe that from a survey of random people not one of t
well the cambridgeshire sightings may have been our fault

i just bought a remington 700 sps dm in .243. cant tell you how it shoots yet but i got mine for £495 brand new off guntrader. what a bargain considering my dealer quoted me £670 for the standard floorplate model. plus the detachable mag is far better than the tikka which felt pretty flimsy to me. also great for customising in the next few years.
another update. i wasnt able to get a zeiss conquest shipped to the UK for less than £700 which is well out of my budget so i went for a bushnell elite 4500 6-24x50SF which was within my budget. thanks for the help MR L
ok an update, i have the oppurtunity now for a zeiss conquest 6-20x50 for $928 which works out at £560. i can also get the leupold mounts and base for an extra $43 so is it worth spending that little bit more. ive heard that optically they are the best in that price range. if so im ordering it today.
whats the verdict?
skys the limit. well actually my permission is. i have spot on the permission where i can shoot to around 700 yards so in time i guess i'd like to shoot at that distance
i've asked this alot recently and am still undecided but....
you have exactly 500 pounds to spend on a scope, needs are;
target turrets
parallax adjustable.
it'll be for target shooting, lamping and stalking.
any suggestions?
cheers Jack
depends on the rifle mate
the above are at 100yds with a cz style .17hmr.
obviously thats just my rifles preference. it may be different with yours.
