  1. I will have to try and get a picture off my phone to my pc then upload it! so bear with me!! Its interesting how different lures work for you than what work for me! same species but a world apart! like you say maybe pressure from anglers does make a difference! although I think that its probably more to do with the species of prey fish that the pike here are feeding on compared to the pike you fish for are feeding on Will get going on that picture
  2. Well, here in the Territories, fishing with live bait is against the law, but down south live bate works well. Here I would say for me, I prefer dead bait in the winter and spinning in the summer. But in all reality, it is not difficult to catch fish here and fly fishing gives a much better challenge. (although I am not very good at fly fishing) This last pic is of an Inconnu (coney). This is the only place where I have ever seen them caught so I do not know how wide spread they are. But this is the largest one that I have ever heard of being caught. Before we caught this one, I
  3. Back to the original question! body looks bream like especially the length of the anal fin red fins of a roach! bream roach hybrid bream wise the silver bream does tend to have a black edged tail fin and black along its back and head! my final guess would be silver bream/roach hybrid
  4. Have you caught any of them large muskies. That's a big negative. My brother seems to catch them, but I never have. I have caught some fair size pike though:) Here's an interesting catch, Thats looks a good 20 - 25 Lbs I enjoy my pike fishing and my biggest to date is just under the 20lb mark caught on a ledgered lamprey! I like spinning for them too covering alot of water its great to watch a pike following then nailing your lure What tactics do you find most productive over there dead bait/live bait/spinning!!
  5. I am back from Cumbria and have spoken to a lot of people about these dogs that have been stolen. I have given details to them all, and asked them to keep a watchful eye out, and ears to the ground for anything that seems like a dodgy deal. I spoke to one guy from near Kendal and he told me that his mate had a fell terrier stolen, a very sought after and proven working dog. It would always bolt his fox but if it refused would finish it without any problem. He contacted some guy's from Liverpool that had come up to hunt with the Lunesdale pack. They were rough diamonds as he put it, the so
  6. I have an Airarms TX200HC mk 3, its a great air rifle and has never let me down. Its quite heavy at around 8.5 - 9 lbs but the alternatives in this price range are all quite heavy! I have always killed with it one shot! touch wood!! B.A.R recomends it as the best springer rifle on their site and so far I would say its lived up to that for me! Hope this helps Good luck with your purchase decision.
  7. I agree mate all very good points here and ones that all here should take heed of. By the way my memory was refreshed yesterday by strong stuff! there is an organisation FMWTC that is just the kind of thing that i have been talking about here for the last few days or so. They act on dog theft as I have been suggesting! they are a group of people just like us but with a difference. They stand together as one unit, and help each other with just this type of theft. They are all over the country from devon and cornwall to north Yorkshire and beyond. I think that it would be a great idea for us all
  8. I hear what your saying mate and sympathise but what i am suggesting is not one man with his sleeves rolled up and ending up getting nicked. I am talking about catching them red handed! with lots of evidence and plenty of bodies as back up! that is the only way! even if you knew where they lived if you step foot onto the property they can have you. No ya gotta be cleverer than that. If one or 2 of the crew get video evidence then that stands mate! That is what the anti's do but they then edit their footage and it still f g stands in court!! How did you manage to get nicked anyway! If you dont
  9. there f**king useless.iv had several dogs nicked, even reported to lost rang them and the warden everyday for two weeks,an old lady had found him and been doing the same.ringing the same station, divs couldnt even work that out, soon nicked me when i went after a geezer that nicked me boys litter ov jacks and my whippet.il go with any man to get his dog back, BET THEY DIDNT KEEP YOUR DOGS FOR LONG just have to prove yourself a prick everytime dont you!! they were my 12 year old boys pups you sad f**k :thumbdown:you seem the type to nick em??as you only got one jack pup, SORRY OOTS I THOUGHT T
  10. This is a good point mate personally I have mine micro chipped! I think everyone should have this done or as scouser say's tattooed. The only problem is that the only way a micro chipped dog could be traced back to thieving scum is if they were to take a stolen dog to a vet or somewhere with a scanner! I am afraid that the type of nts that are stealing peoples dog's are not going to go anywhere near a scanner! Tattoo in a dog’s ear would still not necessarily show up for years if at all! Dont get me wrong its still a precaution that everyone should take. I think guys that everyone needs
  11. Glad your dogs on the mend mate, it just goes to show that the old boys know stuff that the new ones may never know spend as much time as you can with him and all will be passed on. Take notes and believe me lots of guys would love to be in your position so take full advantage
  12. Thankyou mate, same to you I would love to go hunting in canada lived in flesherton ontario years ago! I have a friend that went last year got offered to be whipper in for a pack! Cheers. Symon. You're welcome to drop in anytime. I wouldn't know what the regulations are for bringing in hunting dogs. Has anyone ever looked into it? That’s very kind of you DP, I don’t know about regulations for bringing in dogs but I should imagine weeks of quarantine and a whole lot of cash would be the order of the day! I do know that some hounds were exported to Canada
  13. Part of me thinks offering more money as reward may just lure them out! But I also think that offering more money may just give these shites more motivation and thefts will ultimately go up! It’s hard to call No, the only way is to set these buggers up you gotta catch em red handed. Like a mass organised team consisting of every one on here that lives in the area and everyone they know all in on it together to get the feckers. Maybe triangulate known instances on a map and try to work out a kind of hot spot based on the information gathered. Door to door calls in the neighbour hoo
  14. Very true mate I am affraid the Police: always there when you don't need them never there when you do, and when you do get them there they do FxxK all I agree that if more people look and ask around in their area and who they know! This would be a great help in narrowing down and locating the thieving scum who are responsible for doing this. I would like to think that most of you here would do the same for me! I am up in Cumbria and north Wales next week for a week, so have made some notes off here and will ask around every one I know for you. These b*****ds could be anywhere an

Most recent for me is Joe Calzaghie. Fighters of the past: Marvin Haggler- Foreman- Joe Frazier these men were real warriors, a bit before my time but I always enjoyed watching my dad’s videos of their battles. Tyson for what he achieved at such an early age could have gone down in history as one of the all time greatest boxer’s ever! Wasn’t meant to be though, but he could have Topped this guy my favourite of all past and present. Muhammad Ali. ( Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr.)
  20. Do they have a website mate, wouldn't mind having a browse
  21. Well said Chris you speak a lot of sense, We should all respect general hunting code and ethics. If some pictures fail to represent these qualities then they should be seriously considered before being posted by their owners.
  22. i've seen enough genuine clean hunting in the media to realise that if the buggers want to make something look wrong or cruel they seem to have a canny knack of doing so... some lad following you around with a button camera and gettin in on the action at the point of kill can make a humane and quick kill look bloody awful... music, slow motion and sound effects can work all sorts of black magic You make a good point here. The L.A.C.S and all their supporters are masters at this and are very manipulative. Look what happened to the Crawley and Horsham! W Armstrong! I will car
  23. Nice work look's like you have put alot of hours into making this box
  24. I think the posting of pictures should always be carefully considered as to what they contain and if they could be frowned upon or not. More importantly if such pictures could lead to more serious consequences for the person posting them. I am of the understanding that this is a hunting forum and while common sense say’s if you don’t want to look at my pictures then don’t is somewhat obvious and true, there is always the possibility that they could be heavily frowned upon. If you know your picture’s are law full and are sure of this without question then I would say feel free
  25. Thank you old skool, At last someone who understands I am guilty of taking things a little extreme, but I am only this way because of the current situation that we are all in. I wish this wasn't so but it is. I have struggled myself to be treated with trust and acceptance but over the last 15 years and with lots of perseverance I am fortunate enough to enjoy my passion to the full. Although never completely relaxed at least the small group of people I know can all feel safe that it won’t be anyone close to us to stitch us up!! We are all close friends not just in our sport but soci
