  1. I had my HW95K tuned by Steve Pope at V-Mach. He turned a good rifle into an excellent one too. I would not hesitate to recommend V-Mach, but equally, I wouldn't hesitate to send a rifle to Sandwell...
  2. Squirrels are easy to trap mate. I've caught them in cages using peanuts and bird seed. Stake the trap down though, because they'll go for the bait from underneath.
  3. There looks like there's going to be a couple of rifles being released in the next year or so that can be charged with either air, or co2. One is a Ben Taylor designed Milbro, and I think the other one is an RWS. I stand to be corrected on that though. It'd be interesting to see how they perform.
  4. Haha, shall we get tshirts made up that say "THL LADS ON TOUR?" Think this has potential for development, but I also think that it would rely on members being willing to travel too, not just attend their local ones. As I already mentioned, the cost of fuel seems likely to be the most prohibitive thing, but if a few guys could get together and share the cost it shouldn't be too bad. This is really bringing back a sense of camaraderie (and I don't care what members of the forum from other sections say about us being boy scouts or holding each other's cocks - which, by the way, I'm no
  5. I'd be up for this mate. It's a hell of a drive for me though, and I'd need to on the way back by 2pm. That a possibility? Or has it already gone?
  6. As already said, they don't contain a lot of nutritional value - basically an egg with feathers, but they'll do them no harm, and the ferrets certainly enjoy them. I've used them a few times to help me out of a tight spot.
  7. Yes pal, I do drive, but fuel costs make everything a bit prohibitive. That's the reason I missed out on Davy's meet. None of my permissions are big enough to make it worth while at the moment, although I'm working on one or two that might be worth sending a couple of invites out for a weekend.
  8. As far as I can see there's not that much difference. To my eyes, the Mk2 is the Mk1 but with a few issues ironed out and an updated magazine indexing system. I stand to be corrected though.
  9. I wish I had some more people close to me for this kind of do. Good luck with that mate.
  10. Hi, I'm in North Norfolk; if you don't get any closer offers you'd be welcome to bring them to me. PM if you want to know more.
  11. Classic. Hunter1989 used to piss me off on this forum long before he was outed as a scammer - I just haven't got the patience to spend all night trying to figure out what his posts say.
  12. I think your best bet would be either an Air Arms S200, as Buster already said, or a BSA Ultra.
  13. Haha, what a fart knocker. I've not been involved in any deals with this knobber, but what a complete idiot. If people hadn't been losing money to the scamming twat, it would be hilarious.
  14. Great post Davy mate, well shot. And good to see you taking the apprentice out too!
  15. Nope, it's just oiled mate. Several coats of oil. I can't remember exactly the process I used, it was more than 10 years ago now.
  16. It's not like you to post so many photos millsy! SP for the long shot.
  17. I saw an HW95 stock on eBay for about £25 the other week mate. I refinished mine myself - and it was a bit of a labour of love really. First off, use some paint stripper to completely remove the laquer, then wash it, let it dry, and sand it using very fine wet and dry paper. If it's dented, you should be able to life them out by placing a damp tea towel over the dent and then using a hot iron on it. Think carefully about whether you want to paint it or refinish it to a more classic state. If you want to paint, there are some Plastidip type sprays about that some of the guys on here
  18. Glad to see you getting the numbers buddy, well done. What NV set up do you use?
  19. Not a bad start pal! Good work. What are you doing with all those bunnies?!
  20. Good shooting ftm, love a bit of ratting myself!
  21. Thank you Bill, very generous of you!
  22. Now then airgunners, As gurtwurz would say, I had myself some red hot springer action before work this morning! I've been enjoying using my HW95K recently, so my PCPs have hardly been picked up in a couple of weeks. I'm sure that'll all change soon though. Anyway, I called into a local permission before I started work this morning. Usually you see several rabbits feeding as you enter the drive, but this morning there was only one that I could see as I parked my van. As I got out, it was a good 35 yards away, and I duly fluffed the shot. I reloaded and went for a little moo
