  1. You're right - it's crazy that such an expensive rifle should need so much money spent on it to get it as it should be. I've had mine for more than 2 years, and in that time, it's been back to BSA twice when it's developed faults - both times under warranty. That's the only thing I've had done to it, and I love it to bits. It'll be going to John Bowkett at some point when I can spare the change, but it's still a very decent piece of gear that I wouldn't part with.
  2. Thanks all, thoroughly enjoyed my day.
  3. Now then, I had a kind invite from Phil (ryan666 on here) to meet up with him at one of his permissions to thin out some collared doves. It's a 2 and half hour drive from me, but I scammed the day and half a tank of diesel off work and made my way up the east coast to meet with Phil at about 8.30. The permission is a chicken coop at the back of a pub car park. When I arrived, Phil already had 5 in the bag with his .22 Rapid Mk2. I took both my .177 Ultra and my .22 R10 for the ride, and used both to good effect throughout the day. The action was thick and fast. There's a
  4. That's a beautiful looking S10 pal.
  5. Great write up and photos Millsy. And good on you for having the balls to let the air ranger get a soaking!
  6. No, once he's castrated, he's no longer vasectomised! I'd have to get another...and it's looking increasingly likely!
  7. The first woody made me laugh mate. Lets's hope we don't get too many of those on monday!
  8. I'm inclined to agree Andy mate, it made me laugh. Especially the tic-tac part!
  9. He's been snipped for a couple of years. He seems fine in himself. I'll get him off to the vet asap.
  10. Ah shit mate! I hope that's just a freak. Good luck getting it sorted, would be a shame to see the back of such a stunner.
  11. Before I start, with the greatest respect, I'd appreciate responses just from those that actually have an idea, not novices shouting "TAKE HIM TO A VET". I noticed today that my vasectomised hob has one particularly large teste. To be completely honest, I didn't check him over yesterday, just fed him and left him alone, but I didn't notice it the day before. He's currently housed on his own, but has been bringing my jills out of season with no difficulties over the past couple of months. Any ideas? Thanks, Sam
  12. I've got a Hills Pump for sale. Could do with a service, but is in good order. £50 plus postage.
  13. Thanks fellas. I had my terrier pup with me - she leapt out of the window as soon as the bunny rolled over. Tried to get her in the photo, but everything's a million miles an hour with her, so she was just a blur!!
  14. I've not had a chance to handle one of these, but it certainly looks the business from the reviews I've seen. Looks like a worthy rival to the Ultra.
  15. I'd snap your hand off if you were closer mate.
  16. They're great rifles mate. Definitely put a different silencer on it though - as Darryl says, speak to him or Davy about a twink, or look out for a Weihrauch silencer. Both are excellent and will make a huge difference to your ultra.
  17. Now then, one real quick one on the way to work. Pulled in the drive, shot the rabbit out of my van, picked it up, took the photo, drove off. Not much more to add...
  18. Nice one buddy. Looking forward to our trip out on Monday!
  19. I'm sure you'll get on just fine with that mate. Top quality rifles. Why did you choose the HC over the ProSport?
  20. I didn't see Buster's post, but it was probably funny, and for that reason alone, in my eyes, it shouldn't have been deleted!
  21. My first rifle was a Gamo Cadet Delta at the age of about 7. I'd recommend that to any youngster - taught me a great deal. Also, have a look at the SMK juniors; or the HW25 which is bound to be a quality piece of kit.
