  1. Good stuff mate, not always about big bags is it? The wind has really been a problem this past week or so, so good on you for getting out!
  2. Just out of interest, how much are you asking for it?
  3. Yes please mate, I'll PM you again now. If you see this before you see the PM, then let me know. Cheers.
  4. I've got one, and I love it. I have had one or two problems with it in the past, but these seem to have been ironed out now, and it's incredible. It's just over 6lbs I believe. I think it's significantly lighter than the HW100, but don't quote me. I can't imagine ever parting with mine.
  5. I would absolutely love to do that mate, but it's just such a long way - and while I'm a bit short of £££s, it's a bit hard! Thanks for the offer though, when things are back on track I'll be sure to take you up on it!
  6. Fair enough. That's the only UKAHFT affiliated club in Leicestershire though. My closest club is 82 miles away. If I knew how, I start one of my own!
  7. Hi Karpman, funny you should ask...I contacted UKAHFT just this afternoon to find a club local to me as I'm planning on having a crack at HFT soon. They sent me a list of all their affiliated clubs - it would appear that Kibworth is your closest. There's no website listed, but there is a mobile number. PM me if you want it and I'll pass it on.
  8. Yeah, I thought about the S200 as I posted my previous response. You also might be able to pick up a secondhand BSA Ultra, but you'd be best to add a bit more to your budget if you can to get charging equipment too. Both are excellent rifles. I know a few of the regulars on here use S200s, and several (myself included, use Ultras. As far as I know, all are happy with them!
  9. Sadly mate, you won't get close to a Rapid or SuperTen for that money. If you do, you'd be very lucky, and you certainly wouldn't be getting charging equipment too. In reality, that kind of money will get you a good quality spring rifle but not much in the way of precharged pneumatics.
  10. Michael Tawn airgun supplies sells them on ebay I believe - he won't sell you anything but good stuff, so you'll be safe with them.
  11. They're all threaded, but you can get a 'UNF' adapter for not very much money.
  12. I think most of the guys on here would recommend a Twink. The HW silencer is also very very good, as is the SAK as far as I know.
  13. Hi Si, I replied to your PM about this mate.
  14. I'm not doubting anybody, but I find it very hard to believe that any farmers would actually give permission to shoot pheasants. Most farms are tied into a shoot somewhere, and shooting their game birds isn't going to endear anybody! I don't have a problem with shooting pheasants at all, I just can't get my head around the idea that permission would be granted for such a thing.
  15. Thanks guys. Yes, the Ultra's really are excellent. This one is completely standard at the moment, and is unbelievably accurate. I'd recommend them to anyone.
  16. Nice little outing mate, SP for shot placement!
  17. Good going gents! You don't like to hang onto a rifle for long do you pal?!
  18. Thanks chaps! Hopefully that's the first of many.
  19. I recently secured some new permission. It's a house with a few acres of land around it- a couple of paddocks at the back seperated by a small spinney, and some nice tall trees along the driveway. It was the trees that got my attention really, as I'd seen several rooks in there as I drove past. Anyway, I went and had a look around last week. Took my rifle, but was more interested in getting the feel for the place. I dicsovered that there's several rabbits on the property that I've been instructed to shoot if I can, and a few squirrels too, as well as the large numbers of rooks and pige
  20. My understanding of this new law isn't that rifles need to be locked away in a cabinet per se, just that they need to be secured away from children. Locked in a wardrobe would suffice, as I've read it.
  21. I've used ParcelForce before with no problems.
