Cant get on with this new fangled technology. Phones is for ringing people, cameras is for taking pictures. Tried taking pictures with my phone, of Tyla headfirst down the cavern we dug, but obviously did something wrong. Sorry lads, no pics from me either.

For those who know what I am talking about THE GOOSE IS OK!! Just spoke to Alan, he put the goose back in the pond yesterday arvo. She buggered off again but he drove her back and this morning she was in the pond with her ducks. Panic over.

What age should children be introduced to hunting?

I wouldnt take my daughter out with the mink hounds until she could do a full day without whining that her feet hurt or "how much further is it?" She started as a regular at age 8. Started whipping in to minkhounds at 12, to beagles a year later and she is now junior master of a pack of bassets in scotland at the age of 26 -
Time you did something with that Swazi as well. Certainly lowered the tone of the whole day having a "gentleman of the road" out with us! Not surprised they didn't want to know you in the farm shop!!

Lambing time before long. Thats the best time for a youngster to be round sheep. Takes a brave pup to stand between a ewe and her lamb!

I had borders for 20 odd years. The main things to remember are that they can be very slow to start and that although they wont start a fight, they'll finish one! Had some very good borders over the years, do anything that was asked of them.

I understood that a prosecution under the hunting act was on a par with a traffic offence and doesn't mean a criminal record. Is this right or am I mistaken?

Just had the meet card for the Chid, Lec and Cowdray foxhounds. No meets scheduled at Cowdray House for this season. Have been told Cowdray House is up for sale but dont quote me on that.
