I've bought a 223 cz and have had a moderator fitted,I need to invest in a good scope and to be truthful I dont have a clue of the strength or make I should get.I was told a swift 10 to 12 x50 is a good size or a bushnell is a good make,anyone enlighten me on what how and where I can get one,in english,no fancy terminology as I wont have a clue what you'll be on about,thank you all prematurally.

I was out on a farm 2 weeks ago as a farmer wanted us to do a ditch before he knocked it and preventing the rabbits settling into a new home.we have a tiny buck that is a super hunter and we entered him in a burrow and sat back waiting for the action.After 20 minutes I located him a foot down and proceeded to dig to him.when I broke through he was lying on his side and the rabbit was balled up in a pocket,I dispatched the rab and when I checked the ferret his eye was out of its socket and resting on his cheek.I put him back in his box and with the farmer being there we had to continue with the

Guys,could you give me info on this subject please.A mate of mine has bought a Investarm over and under 410 shotgun,it has 28 inch barrells and he would like to get a silencer of some form for it.He thinks you can buy a type of sleeve that cuts down the noise from it.He has brought it along while out ferreting and its handy in places that cant be controled by nets.He has accounted fo many rabbits that ran through the scrub and gorse which would have escaped usually(but not any more ,yere in trouble now me boyos).If you know of this idea would you please explain what we should be looking for an

I kept lurchers up to 5 yrs ago and have helped train my mates dog to long nets not a bother.The lurcher I had was stock broken and steady with sheep cattle and horses.I was always tempted to have a go at deer but was afraid of the consequences afterwards.Now you got me thinking again,I think thats a donkey in your photo Mik,I see for myself theres no fear for the dunkeys life.

jeffers sport bandon co.cork Thats where I bought the gun,Jeffers sports,wont buy another thing from him,paid just under a thousand euros for the gun and he wouldnt give me a bullet nor a shoulder strap thrown in.Doing my buisness elsewhere.My mate who is a neighbour and buddy of Jeffers got a quote from him for an under and over 410,and we got the exact same gun 240 euros cheaper elsewhere,too high are his prices I think.

I am surprised at that,I have had lurchers for many years but never ran deer with them,they took foxes ok but was thinking when they run deer they might be prone to chasing animals of a similar size,Your in Ireland I take it,you ever have a litter of lurchers for sale let me know,thanks. Freestate just spoted the tricolor on the base of your reply so I aint the most observant of people,where abouts are you,I'm near Cork.

Hi guys,I think I know the answer to this already but not certain.If your lurcher is taking deer,is it possible he can be ok and steady with sheep or is it as I expect they get a little keen on all forms of living moving spieces,I'm thinking this is a kinda pointless question but has anyone got their dog steady to sheep and still take deer with them,Jigsaw.

I have been estimated a price of 350 euros to get the gun threaded and the t8 fitted.I shot a few targets with the gun as is and I almost shit myself the first few times,I had a.22 for the last 24 yrs.what do you think of the price for the fitting.I'm going to go ahead with it soon so would love to hear your opinions on this matter.If anyone has a gunsmith in Ireland and hopefully in the southern end of the country they might reccomend I would be most grateful,I got my quote from a Wexford gunsmith .thanks for your help so far lads,jigsaw.

Treated myself to a .223 rifle and wondering if you lot might have an opinion on a silencer.Read about the T8 and its supposed to be fairly good.Whats your toughts on this please,Jigsaw.
