    Just browsed through the site SD it says you can only take 7 rabbits at any 1 time and be in possesion of 28,they musnt be looked on as a real pest as over here,plenty of other species though,do you hunt a variety of species,big and small?

    Well the cranky bitch I own is going to my mate this morning in county Clare,shes due to be started in the next 3 weeks,watch and see she'll probably work out,just my luck.Still shes too much trouble to have around,I'll hopefully have a more relaxing time from now on that shes gone

    SD what part of the USA are you situated,are there plenty of foxes etc there to hunt?Whats the outlook on hunting in your state,accepted or frowned upon,how long are you into hunting?hope you dont mind all the questions but I enjoy hearing(or reading in this case)of other types of hunting,all the best Jigsaw

    I dont use 4 to bush rabbits mouse,I went about last year and got the 4 in the hope I might end up with 2 or 3 decent dogs,I have to travel about 10 miles to get a place to walk about without meeting any other terriers/dogs.There aren't that many rabbits in this area but they do hunt up the odd 1 there.These dogs are for earth work only.I do a lot of ferreting also but we dont use dogs,just nets.Soon I'll have a lurcher for the ferreting.I was forced to get rid of my terriers a few years ago due to sickness in the family and now I'm trying to get back in the game.In the future if anyone has a

    Irishlurcher no worries in that department,we were approached on the side of a hill last year while ferreting by 2 cops,they had to walk up to us to tell us to stop,1 of them tried to call us down but as we had permission from the landowner and we were going back for our dinner to him I told my mate to leave them come to us.When they reached us they were both breathless as it was a severly steep hillside.Well they started with what are you doing to ,get down from here you have no right to be here,I informed him we had permission and he demanded for us to bring him to the farmer,well I walked h

    This is aimed at the people with more than 1 terrier,I have 4 young dogs ranging from 13 months to 15 months,all pats,2 are brother/sister,and 2 from different litters.I have a big dog,lakie/bull/russel and hes a lump of a dog,I have 1 bitch that came real small and 2 that are 12-14 inches and nicely shaped.The point i'm coming to is the little 1 is a wicked little fu...r always 1st to start trouble,I had them out the forestry yesterday for a few hours and all were running about and bushing a few rabbits,the little 1 is the only 1 that wont take to the cover,she waits outside and the others hu

    If you can remember I put a pic up of my mates lurcher,German shepherd x g.hound,a brindle dog.He also owns a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 pit bitch.He has done a fair few foxes and a few other sorts besides with him.She has done a bit but not a lot,foxes mostly and a few rabbits thrown in.He rang me last week and told me the bitch has just dropped 7 pups,2 bitches 5 dogs.It was an accidental mating.I was hoping to wait till after Xmass to get a lurcher but as hes anxious to get good working homes for them hes persuaded me to take 1,a brindle bitch.I took a look at the litter this week and they're fine a

    I'm considering selling a dog walker suitable for any breed,made for bullterriers specifically but I have used it for terriers,lurcher also.This mill is made up of industrial components,there is a gear box and belt,and the frame is very heavy which eliminates vibrations.Obviously its a single phase motor,which means it runs on the house socket,It cost 1100 euros to build,that includes the fitters fee for putting it all together.Let me know if anyone is interested in it,I will have photos of it up by the weekend.It runs smoothly and is of high quality.

    Paddy the hob is fairly big,my mate has him,weve had a few days with him but the more he gets the less they bolt.Got 4 terriers to try,but 2 have come a little 2 small I think.X mass I will know whats what.Bigbob I'm putting the ad in a farming paper,dont think I'll have too much hassle.Should have a few cards printed this weekend too.I'll let you know how we get on.whats the story if they ask what the charge is for pesting,do we just cover the petrol and be thankful for the sport they provide,or is it possible to make a small income out of this kind of service?

    DS all the setts we did as I said held flies,wouldnt have thought all of them would contain dead corpses.The setts were real tidy entrances,I'm contemplating advertising in a local paper my services for rabbit and pigeon control.I am in the process of obtaining insurance and see if the offers come in.Hows buisness with you DS,you kept going with your work?Thats the job I'd love to have.I'm always well pleased when I'm out and about,contented with life.

    allrite Paddy me ould flower,we were up in the hills of dunmanway yesterday.The flys were in every rabbit sett we did,we hit about 7 seperate lots and all of them contained many flies.Quiet strange.No myxi up here,the rabbits are healthy fat b>>>>rds.I had pan fried rabbit tonight for tea,mmmm.Frank this spot is a small area crammed with bunnys,the farmer is thrilled with us.We are going to hit this spot for the next few weeks as he is looking for a long time for someone to deal with the pests.He has agreed not to let anyone else on the land bar us,he even threw us 50 euros for pet

    While out ferreting on the side of a hill today,we were working the grounders and had a fairly sucessfull time,but when we were sitting waiting for the action to start,we noticed a very large ammount of flies,bluebottles, exiting and entering the setts.Not just a few now but an awful lot.Has anyone ever seen this and why does it occur,It was just after mid-day.on a different subject,we have in the last few years aquired the smallest hob ferrets I've had the pleasure to hunt with.We have 4 very small ferrets at the moment.I must say though they havnt got the staying power of the larger brethern

    Gave him a few rats but he almost broke open the cage after the 1st one he got,hes keen on the rats and has a tremendous bite,I'm hoping if he doesnt make the grade at underground work maybe someone would take him on as a part of their ratting team.We'll see how he goes after December.

    Phil,were the ferrets able to turn the wheel easily,it looks a bit heavy but obviously you had no problems with it.is it free spining,I might have a go at that,looks the way to keep em occupied whenthey're at home,Jigsaw

    I was looking at the real terrier board tonight,anyone ever visit it,Jesus these guys have real issues with each other.I know a bit of bitching goes on everywhere but this site holds the reckord for pure hatred on line.No holding back at all,see what you think.
