Well I'm going to try and describe how we net a ditch and ferret on our days out.We did a long ditch a few weeks ago and the system we use is a good 1 I believe.There are 4 of us going out together most of the time(a pair of youngsters well into their niteclubs sometimes miss the odd day)We had a ditch to do that was about 200 yards long,we started to put down the 18 ft field nets out from the ditch on both sides.We have about 25 nets and we place them about 30 feet apart.When we have them set we begin at the 1st net and run a pair of ferrets usually ans they work their way up the ditch usuall

I am interested in getting a pup back from Wales,I have priced the ferry over and back and the price of the pup on top of this doesnt make it feasable(in other words I cant afford it)any one got a suggestion as to how I might get around this problem,anyone in a lorry traveling over and back in the not too distant future?I'm willing to pay a fee for such a favour.Is it possible to get the pup loaded on to the boat at Wales and collect it on my side.How much would this cost does anyone know,I'm trying to do this real quiet as the wife will freak if she cops what I'm planning just before xmass,HE

Anyone try pan fried rabbit with oxo cubes crumbled on top,3-4 minutes on the pan and a few mushrooms,delightful and so easy to do even I can manage it.

I have 2 jills and a silver hob thats hunting very well and I have 2 young hobs that are untried,1 is 6 months old the other is 8 months.I dont have the use for them all,I got 1 from my mate that was returned to him for a service,the other a friend had 2 many and was going to knock it on the head.Its a healthy friendly young un that needs nothing more than a chance to prove its worth.The parents of these ferrets are genuine workers and I will gladly pass them on to anyone who would be interested in getting them hunting free of charge.If youre interested in any of these hobs send me a pm and I'

Well,we met at 7.45 a.m.and headed off from my house,1/2 a mile down the road we noticed the car was overheating,needle in the temp.gauge in the red.As I just had a full service done to the car,I was less than pleased.My mate spotted the problem,no engine coolant.We went back and transferred the ferrets and gear to his car and headed for the hills again.We arrived at the farm at 10 o clock and by 1/2 10 we were set up and ready to go.I was looking forward to having a cut off of this place all week.The heavens opened with rain within an hour of starting,but we kept going.We were drenched in no

DW I find hazel snaps when you try to push into frozen ground plus they're very bulky when your carrying 15-20 ,12 to 18 ft ditch nets.I got 4 nets on fiberglass poles given to me by a pro caddy,but he wont pinch anymore for me.Where he works they take up the flags each evening and replace them in the morn.Any more ideas around this problem would be recieved graciously.Jigsaw.

Not leverets bullet,defo rabs,we were only 10 feet from them.I have seen lots of teads(small uns)in January but never this early.Frank we got 4 rabbits,impossible to stay out in the rain,it was hammering down.The farmer and his son counted 82 rabbits sitting out 2 weeks ago on 2 ditches and a few grounders,I'm itching for next Sunday.

My hunting partner and I went on a call out to a farm about 35 miles from home,we were told the place was crawling with rabbits........and they were right,the place was infested with them.We had our nets down about an hour when the heavens opened,the wind and rain beat the living shit out of us.We picked up our nets and boxed the ferrets and made a hasty retreat for the car.We stayed close to the ditch to try and avoid the worst of the rain and spotted 3 tiny little rabbits no bigger than your fist.We couldnt believe there would be young uns out this time of the year and the weather was really

What the hell! no ones mentioned the ford focus estate,what a car,have mine for 6 years and have 105,000 miles on it.I have driven this car on dirt tracks,up mountains,into shity farm land and the building site where I work,not a bother with it,a superb car,very economical and as comfortable as hell,I even slept in it a few times,brought 3 deer home 1 night in it and has loads of room for 3 kids as well.I was supposed to change it a few times but its a dream to own,next year its a transit van for me.

DW may I be so bold to ask are the green rods on the front of the quad(hey that rymes)for the long nets and if so where could a person pick them up and how much are they please?Can anyone come up with a price better than 3.95 sterling,thats the cheapest weve come up with,we need about 20 poles,almost sterling,way too dear,any suggestions?And dont say rob the golf course,plastic piping on our local course.

At the moment I have 3 pups at 13 and 14 months old,2 were born a week apart and the other is a month older.I will be starting to give them a look at x mass as I think they're a little young yet.I have some farmers on to me to dig a few burrows and remove the occupants and I could do with an experienced dog right now but theyre like gold dust.I would gladly buy an adult to get me out of this dilema but I think the farmers will look elsewhere soon as we cant come up with the goods.I prefer to rear my own pups and bring them on myself but I had a family member sick for a long period and couldnt
