  4. update on my bulldog, hes got discharge still from his nose and im giving him chicken broth, antibiotics and lots of rest, but i think his kennel cough is nearing its end,he had it the longest i might add.anyone think its necessary to re jab him again with an anti K-cough vacine...if there is such a thing.
  5. Go find the best ''WORKING''irish terrier you can, then go find the best working collie you can,and enjoy rearing a litter of fine collie/greyhounds.Irish terriers havent seen proper work in decades, why youd even want to consider a sire of this breed is beyond me,if you fancy terrier blood in your cross, then bedlington/wheaten/bull terrier is the route to go,but personally i think a collie hound cross is the job for bunnies once both parents are active and skilled.
  6. JB check the date, your a bit late im afraid.
  7. out of 5 dogs all but 1 have recovered from it,the pit bull at 10 months old has a bad discharge from his nostrils,i put him on AUGMENTUM 500,human antibiotics,i also tried the honey but he refused to touch it,for some reason it hit him worse than the rest,i remember it travels its course in the dog for a week or so and then fades,so hopefully it'll be dissapearing in the next few days.i have been out with three different dogs today and not a hiccup so they seem to be right as rain again.it was only present for 3-5 days in the dogs and had no serious effect other than an annoying(to the dogs a
  8. is rampant here at the moment, all my dogs bar 1 are over it,i havent had it in years but i got well stung in the last week with it.i have kept them all in and avoided walking them on collars and leads on the street, but i do take them into farmland and let them have a run about.anyone experienced it lately, not a pleasant thing for the dog i think.

  12. JUST AS I THOUGHT IL<A YOUNG HOOLIGAN PUP
  13. Cuagusgiorrai(where the hell did the name come from)Ive never encountered wild sheep, well how do you tell if there ferral or not.try telling a farmer that you shot his sheep cause you thought it was ferral, you need permission from landowners and my mate has the permit of some form for it.you obviously just cant go shooting/catching any goat you see up on the hills.it must be established the goats are pure ferral and not after straying from some farmers property.from what ive seen once the dog is used for goats then they are a serious threat to sheep also,if you partake in other forms of fiel
  14. lurchers really dont suit the terrain my mates hunt, mountany rough ground soon shatter the toes of the lurchers, plus they reckon too much speed is not a good thing.as ive mentioned the wheaten is proving to be a decent dog at the moment but their working lives are short lived due to the terrain and the nature of the hunt, the guys i have seen take goats never hang about too long, the killing of a goat with a dog would be a long drawn out cruel affair if left to proceed to the last breath of the goat.the guys run in and finish off the goat as is humanely possible.IL your some messer boy,lol Scen
  15. the goats we procured never tempted me to eat any of them,i will be stocking up on a kid or two soon(not the human form, lol.)for eating.i am told they are quiet delicious.

  20. Now I've had a lot of experence with WILD goats, ive seen them taken with dogs lots of times and not too long ago either, ive shot a few in my time also, for anyone to say a goat is easy pickings makes me think they havent been at goats much or the goats their doing are TAME.My mate runs a big hairy mad wheaton on them and the billys dont half punish the dog some times.Ive seen this wheaton get his body chucked about a fair bit and then the billy drive his head hard and fast into the dog,the wheaton never so far shirked his duties and retalliated with the venom only a game dog has.I must admit th
