  2. if its the lurcher your on about then it was a generation bred bullxgreyhound cross and after having one before i am not interested in going down that path again as they are not what i need for what i do.i gave it to a young lad for free.i was given it as a free pup and one day i saw it chop one of the terriers and it was only 5 months old then so i thought,a sign of things to come.NO THANK YOU :no:just in case its the staff your on about its pit/staff 1st cross but looks like a staff,it ws a dog i was asked to put to sleep but it was so well trained and quiet i thought it was a sin to do it,s

  4. about flipin time very nice dogs neal.i met a couple walking last night and he had with him an ACD,i was amazed to see it coming, but i was doubly amazed to see how small it was,he told me there were 26 of them in Ireland,i never knew there were any about in this country.if she was 16 inches to the shoulder she was a lot.but to see it in the fur so to speak was good, she had a fine head and massive feet.i will in the future get another kelpie blooded dog/bitch.

tiles are a disaster,i wash them and 6 hrs later theyre still wet,the dogs feet are constantly on wet ground.ive even got to the stage where i wipe the excess water off with cloths.they also smell to hell from urine etc.when i laid them i thought it was a great idea, live long and learn fast.
  6. stick up some more of your projects foxhunter, thats some piece of craftsmanship.well done.
  7. digger63 it was never put to the test but i doubt very much hed do anything,he is a great companion dog though and i know if my lads out with him there'll be no chance of any dog aggression on his part,he was attacked by a dalmation on the beach a few weeks ago and never once retalliated and lately he was chased in the front door by a cocker spaniel thats some admission to make on a site like this but the truth is always the best option, the dog is an embarrasment

Sean i am in the process of finishing my new kennells but the lack of funds at the moment have slowed it down a bit.I think just a plain run of adequit size and a smooth concrete floor(dont use tiles whatever you do)and the only thing im doing differently is im rising the sleeping boxes up 2 feet off of the floor for easy cleaning. Then good kennell fronts and job is oxo.
  9. what a stunning animal,it would have to be a corkman to spout some ridiculous shite like that,i have my first ever pure saluki bit its plain to see that dog of yours is pure class.
  10. I had to remove rabbits yesterday for a farmer,1st time out in 6 weeks as i stoped in february,Taz coursed and caught 3 half grown rabbits and no sound at all from her,her retrieving is spot on.Next season i'll start her on the lamp so should be interesting but dont expect a squeak from her.
  11. my staff SNOOPY,looks nice but is actually a poodle in the body of a bulldog, its the sons dog.sleeps on his bed etc.
  12. hello foxdog,cork city here,have fun.
  13. just 5 months scent and i still havent walked it on a lead yet,it freaks out when i try to get it walking,i have it out the forestry 3-4 times a week and have had it in designated walks to socialise it with other dogs and people,i will have to go at the pace i think its comfortable with but its not at all as outgoing as im used to.Its a bitch snoopdog but it has white on its tail and a blaze on its chest and a white tip on 3 of its paws, but 100% pure salki.1st time having a saluki so its a learning process for both of us.as im on the subject are the salukis a bit laid back and slow compared t
