  2. is it possible to get them over in Ireland?they look fantastic.
  3. jaysus no hassle neal.if i am to breed her in a few years, what else have i got to go to.i can either put a 3/4 or a full greyhound as there doesnt seem to be much else about.i have access to top class collies, workers on the hill and trial dogs but the pups from such a x would be too slow for me i think.i was also thinking of a whippetxgreyhoundxcollie.what you reckon?but i have to see taz doing her stuff first before i even consider such a step.
  4. i would rather keep a draw dog ten times over than shoot the game at the end of the day.I think its an Irish thing really,we always kept strong dogs, which is where the famous staffs/english bulls/wheatens etc developed from, you know the ones a lot of people admire,psycho/stormer.And the old argument is always brought up,''if your afraid to handle the game then you shouldent be digging''.the days of draw dogs are now well over and gone, but they had their uses and were as important as the terrier that was dug to i believe.as for english bulls,I had a few 15 years ago,not 1 made the grade, but I
  5. feckit forgot about this topic, just spoted it.I wont need one for a good while yet but i would like to know where to go when needed. As I said I have no interest in fox dogs, just intelligent versatile allrounder.asme nice dogs mate, neal taz is here for as long as she breaths,in time I would be willing to knock a litter out of her IF she turns out to be an honest hard trying bitch.Time will tell.Spiderfly, let me know how the dog works if you would and a picture would be greatly appreciated.blackpack,I expect this dog you mention is in Britain?Scent im not too fussy, just the performance side is t
  6. here ye go mal.great bit o defensive work,lol.
  7. congrats mate, hope you realise the journey in front of you, lol.
  8. after the bull terrier i kept, truly a great working bitch,8 years of graft and not once did she shun the job.
  9. this season i'll be running taz on the lamp and im going to try and up the tempo on her work rate.ive not done a whole lot of late due to the hot weather and growth of crops, hedging etc.have never seen a cattle dog in the flesh so i dont know, any pics of yer dogs and what type of land/work do you do with them?
  10. At last Jackson, are they used for a lot of different forms of hunting? What can you sy of them?I noticed they are seldom seen these days.whats your opinion on them and any other details Id like to hear about.
  11. well thats good to know.Ireland is officially devoid of 3/4 greys 1/4 collies then
  12. I have to say Ive spoken to a few rottie owners and they say theirs is not the best of guards,I always thought theyd be naturals at the job.
  13. Jaysus a deathly silence.I think I might have to go on them TT.I must admit thats a strange thought i had, lol.
  14. any of the Irish lads keeping the above breed.Dont put up your location whatever you do.If you know of a good 3/4 or 5/8 hybred on this side of the pond let me know.Just interested in this type.I am talking about a good allround lurcher, nets, lamp, feather etc.I have no interest in the greatest fox slayer in the parish as I dont bother with fox as a quarry.I dont expect too many replies as ive searched a bit and no one seems to look for versatility it seems.PROVE ME WRONG.
  15. handsome lad, just the job for some horrid little thief.
  16. is it ''if you see kay''OR F U C K.just had me thinking.it also might be written for a certain person ive seen on here, lol.
  17. my father was an avid anti.he was a very gentle person, but my grandfather was a fanatical hunting man so i reckon it skipped a generation.I started with a ferret and travelled on to greater things.....or maybe not that great. It depends on how you look at things, lol

  21. michael rennics, for me to eat curry would be culunary suicide,i call curry ferrari food, down my throat slowly and out my arse at 100 miles an hour.Ive eaten horse, goat and up to trying most stuff but currys a no no,lol.
  22. yeah my saluki bitch is in some ways delicate, but when she has to be forcefull she can also be surprisingly agressive.
  23. well Im in no position to pay up front 2k for a dogs operation.I dont really care if you dont like me saying so but im struggling to pay the bills etc for the last few months.I dont have a disposable income like some.I take care of my animals to the best I can but at the end of the day its a dog were dealing with here.I work for a vet on a regular basis during the year and they make a damn good living. If I ever need him hes there for me day or night and he doesnt charge insane money either,as it should be.My last lurcher broke his 2 front legs and I rang himto ask if there was a procedure or
  24. i bow to your devotion to the dog,i honestly couldnt afford to spend even 1/4 of that ammount on my dogs.its a disgrace vets charging that ammount.
  25. well i wouldnt touch curry, never ate it but i'm going to try and sample a young un if i can fint the little horrors.i expect once theyre young and eating all the herbs and natural goodness that abounds in the woods/hillside theyre defo worth a try.i ate some kid goat in Lanzarote lately and it wasnt too bad.I did think it was a bit stringy/tough but hell I'm fairly adventurous in the food department, besides you can come visit me in the hospital if it backfires.
