i dont think you need to carry it but if the law stops you they will take your gun of you till you produce the cert and the shooting ground should not sell you cartridges unless you produce current cert.your allright if your with someone who got their cert with them.i find that its easier to have your cert with you when out with gun just in case your stopped by the law.

birds fly very fast in wind and if guns have paid alot say a let day and miss alot of the birds it can cause a bit of bad feeling.once in wind on our shoot one drive produced 3 birds for 75 shots from experieced guns which caused a few smiles but if the birds are unshootable its best to leave for another day. -
ring the tax man and tell them he breeds dogs and you paid two grand but wouldnt give you a recpiet.he,ll get a visit

last of the true gentlemen coursing men im afraid. nobody would be able to walk in his foot steps.you never heard anybody say a bad word about him which is amazing these days. ted was not into back stabbing or calling only the welfare of his intrests and quarry.he gave me some sound advice nearly thirty years back which i thank him for.he wasnt into making a big deal name for himself. a true gentleman.RIP

since monday all the local sites have had thier labour only prices slashed by 20% SOME FIRMS EVEN MORE house builders are blaming mondays loss on the stock market to hit the lads badly. can you imagine if the police and fireservice got a reduction by 20% ther would be riots. 4yrs back you were treated like royalty because the firms coulnt get decent gangs but now with all the poles working for fook all looks like a few lean years are back again.only in the construction industry could they get away with this. not just brickies but joiners as well.local scaffold firm has laid of half its men.bla

over ten years back a keeper mate rang me and told me that some gypos were stealing terriers that worked and was taking them to a farm in eire and from there they was being sent to the usa. they was getting good bucks for them. as for thieves on these sites they really do exist we had a lurcher taken by one chap that was on these sites who was stealing dogs all over the place. he got caught and paid the price as well as left the town but he came over all matey on the screen. so dont let anyone get close to your home you dont know or thats not known to someone you know.and get a gaurd dog for

ive a two year old dog and he,s a cracking worker lots of drive but like someones said let them be pups and install the basics.break em to stock young as well. mine will work of pegg and also beat but needs controling as he,s strong headed. good finder sometimes a little fast and love retrieveing. got him as a rescue last year as he,s had four homes since birth but would be worth over a grand now looking at the price some gundog trainers now charge.he,s not for sale though.id have another if the chance comes.

the hardest thing about breeding any pups is selling the surplus to genuine guys and not to wankers.id give pups to the right guys than sell them to idiots.but these days if you dont know a bloke and sell him a pup for little money he might advertise the pup for a few hundred quid.taking the piss out of you.you should only breed to replace old or lost stock. stay clear of the full time belly full of pups terrier men they just churn out shite for ££££

a friend had a license but it was stipulated that he couldnt keep guns at his home address because his dad and brothers were all jail birds so until he moved out he kept them at his mates who also held a license.

trouble today that people expect a russell to work like a patt or laky and compare them like wise. russels of my youth had a lot of fox sence and would use brain as well as bottle even the little short legged beggers where commonly worked. the bleeper has moved people slowly away from the good old lines in favour of harder dogs these days.it was nigh impossible to work the deeper earths with anything else.good small and rough stuff is still out there just needs finding.

is it me or do you not think that every time matt catches a fish he,s creaming and pulling and poking at it for ages and expects it to not go belly up when he chucks em back. he must have a bucket of ferret food after every outing.nice programms though.

how many of us still use s/s regulary as thier first choice. im the only one on our shoot that does and rarely bump into fellows of the same breath. most if not all seem to be over and under men.i shoot an old C G BONEHILL that is a mint on shoot days and have a spanish for rough and foxing etc and quite happy with the pair of them.
