The sun kept making an odd appearance it was just the constant wind

After a treacherous 50min drive up the motorway to my mates we got his van loaded up and made our way to our chosen destination, after last nights high winds there was a few trees blown down and temporary traffic lights in operation we eventually got to were we wanted to be, got the ferrets collered up and kit ready for the off . The wind was howling up the fell side as we made our way up onto the flat tops we knew today wasn't going to be the best of days, eventually the lurcher gave us a posative mark so we netted up and entered my white hob, after what seemed like an age out with the lo

It's a lovely place just in the woods littered with a lot of limestone makes it hard work for the dog and the wind didn't help

First trip out of this year saw us head to the wood for abit of shelter from the Gail force wind, first few warrens looked used but lurcher said no! So we just walked round until we got a positive mark, nets on and little silver Jill in, nothing showed for 10mins or so, out with the locator 1foot down nice easy dig rabbit number 1 in the bag number 2 bolted, escaped the net and went across the limestone and through the wall, the lurcher never looked liked catching this one, it's impossible to get across the stone with any such speed, soon pack and ready for any more, another shallow dig made

Here's a few iv been making over the festive period started off with 10 meshes going up in 2s to 20 meshes all double knotted half way, 12 rows down rung off after 24 rows giving me a 4ft 6 inch net happy knitting, cheers Neil b

You would have put money on there being rabbits at home too but nothing when there is a lot of warrens about I suppose they can pick and choose where they stay.

Just take your time you will soon get the hang of it then try making different size and shape nets

Rew. Footprints, pee and droppings means nothing we were out the other week in the snow, came across warrens with all the tell tail signs of rabbits at home prints round holes ect lurcher didn't mark them tried a ferret just to be sure, nothing at home, in the end we just followed the dog wherever she marked we ferreted and got results.

Iv got a half bred off him and have no problems at all with it she has done everything asked of her so far. All you can do is put opportunities in front of them show them all you can the rest is up to the dog itself then, theres good and bad in every litter
