Just a word of warning regarding lending out snipped hobs, a good few years ago my hunting mate brought in a Jill from supposedly good working lines off a well thought of person, on picking it up he was told it had been left in season last season and was in season at the time, so he put his snipped hob in with it. The following season the same hob went over all his Jill's all of mine and various other Jill's, when the time came to breed some kits to keep a line he has had for 30+ years we lined 4 Jill's to 3 different hobs, all of which had produced kits previously, no kits were born that spri

  20. On our way up this morning we witnessed all weathers from light rain, lightening, strong winds and snow we had it all. Once we got to our permission it was its usual windy self 15mph it said on the BBC weather app but it felt a lot more, the wind was cutting too. We had a spot in mind so got suitably clothed and set off, on our approach we could see a few rabbits moving about so fingers crossed we should get some sport. Once up to the place we were greeted with a big mound of what can only be discribed as a sort of shaley limestone mix. There were holes everywhere so with 20 purse nets down a
